I received both of mine today too (not fresh ones). Very pleased with them, agree they are not worth the original price but definitely worth the amount we paid, the baskets alone would probably cost £20 each. They were well packed, bubble wrap around bottles, tissue paper etc.

Ordered one of the Waitrose 'Joy of Christmas' Hampers earlier today, for ourselves.
Used the code on the other thread, so got it s just over £36 delivered.
These and the M&S ones may drop further next week, but this was still a decent price, and it looked a bit better than the equivalent M&S one (Festive Favourites).
If the M&S ones do drop to half price next week, I might try and get one as a gift for someone.0 -
Have just phoned Waitrose - on hold for 15+ minutes. I was worried that mine were going to be cancelled because transactions have disappeared on my credit card but I have been reassured that one is tracked out for delivery tomorrow and the other one is definitely going to go. The girl said that they are having problems with their emails!! Mine are both showing as being prepared on the website.

Just found out one has been delivered after all. Customer service/ information somewhat lacking but hampers an absolute bargain in my view - I ordered two "wonder of Christmas" before they went out of stock. Thanks Claire!:D0

I ordered 2 different ones, one came fine, the massive one with all the booze in it thats was £500 i think came stinking of alcohol in a soggy box, refused delivery, phoned and oos now, so no massive hamper for in laws!

I am hugely disappointed, and wanted to post this in case anyone else is affected. I ordered 4 Feast of Christmas and 1 Luxury Refresher very early on Saturday morning, in 2 separate orders. I received 2 despatch emails for one order which I thought odd, and checked it's status on Waitrose website. It showed both orders had been delivered. I called this morning to find out what was happening, and have been told that none of the orders will be arriving. That there was a fault in the system that allowed things to be ordered when they were out of stock and there is nothing they can do. My complaint is apparently going to be passed up the chain and someone will call back to let me know how it happened, but none of that helps, does it?
These were presents for our staff members, and now I am left having to run around and find something to replace them with very quickly!0 -
It's shambolic to say the very least.
When you eventually get through to customer services you get told different things by different people.
One of my orders is showing as dispatched, the book part i have received but obviously still waiting on the fresh hamper.
They don't have an option on their system to mark which items have been sent, only shows it all as having been dispatched. Mad!
To top it all because they have only taken part payment(for book) and they won't take the money for the hamper until it is dispatched it is showing as a recurrent payment on my credit card account. Which panicked me at first as you hear nightmares about continuous payments.
My luxury refresher hamper is still showing as received in my account. I too ordered very early Saturday morning so i now hope and pray that doesn't get cancelled.0 -
Oh well, its wait and see, I suppose. The one I ordered was just for us, so if it doesn't arrive, there's not too much spoiling.
Just checked my order status and it still just says 'received'. I set for delivery 'in time for christmas', and they wont charge the card till its despatched, so if it does end up being OOS, then at least I wont have to chase for refunds.0 -

Just thought I'd give you an update on this...after being told this morning that our order wasn't valid, hubby has just called to say that the Feast of Christmas hampers have just been delivered! That is great of course, but it is obvious that Waitrose have no idea what is going on! I have no idea whether our 2nd order of the Luxury Refresher will appear between 19-22nd, or whether that one has been cancelled, but as that one was for us and not as a gift then I am not as bothered (though I will be disappointed as I was looking forward to it).
So, their system is obviously highly mysterious....0 -
Oh well, got the despatch email this evening for my Hamper, with a tracking number, though it doesn't say who is delivering it so I don't know where to go to track it.
Anyone know who Waitrose Direct use for their deliveries (please dont say Yodel!!)
EDIT: Just checked on the Waitrose Direct website, and the order status is still 'Open' and still just says 'Recieved'.
Which one to believe??0
