  • Thanks for this, received the Black and White Party Tower and Waitrose Wonder of Christmas a couple of days ago and am absolutely thrilled with both - the tower looks stunning! Will make great gifts.

Oh well, got the despatch email this evening for my Hamper, with a tracking number, though it doesn't say who is delivering it so I don't know where to go to track it.

Anyone know who Waitrose Direct use for their deliveries (please dont say Yodel!!)

EDIT: Just checked on the Waitrose Direct website, and the order status is still 'Open' and still just says 'Recieved'.

    Which one to believe??

My book came via citylink, try using the tracking code on their website and see if it works.:)

Oh dear. Tried the tracking number on the Citylink website and it isn't recognised. (Tracking number begins with letters RPB, then 5 digits).

Still no change in status on the waitrose direct website either.

Still just wait and see, I guess.

    Good evening,
What hamper was it that you ordered? Just interested, as I am waiting for one, and thinking ahead!

  • I am so mad, in fact i am beyond mad.

Had nothing but problems with Waitrose and these sodding hampers.

Just had a knock at the door and it is was the man who lives over the road with a parcel. He took it in yesterday lunchtime but had only just noticed that it says refrigerate immidiately.(not his fault) and guess what...yep my bloody refresher hamper.

I had no dispatch email, no card left by citylink and to top it all this wasn't even supposed to be delivered until between the 19th-22nd.

Just come off the phone to customer services who have apologised and are going to refund me. Well when i say refund she couldn't do that then either as something was locked and she needs to get it unlocked tomorrow by a supervisor.

Honest to god, i thought Waitrose would have been a first class service and i have had nothing but problems.

Just had to throw all the cheeses and cold meats in the bin :(:(:(:(

I could cry, i really could. OH has just retrieved the cheeses out of the bin and intends to eat them  He says they are sealed and were still quite cold so in his eyes they are fine.
I certainly won't be taking any chances.:(

What's more i just don't trust anything Waitrose say, i have been told different things each time i rang and was absolutely re-assured that none of my refresher hampers would be delivered until the 19th at least.
Mmmmm, i am going to ring again tomorrow and check my refund has been actioned although i just checked my bank and they haven't even taken the money for it yet. Nothing is pending in my account which it would be if they had taken their money. I was told that as soon as an item is delivered then the money is taken. CONFUSED!!

Going to have to ring each day and check if my other hamper has been sent. They know as they can see a tracking number.

    NIGHTMARE!!!!

If they are hard cheeses they may well be fine.

There was one cheddar, one stilton and one other soft cheese. Had to throw the smoked chicken, smoked beef and smoked salmon.:(
