Where would you be if you married your first partner?

No doubt living the predictable life of 2.4 kids, a chocolate labrador, driving a dull eco box and a dull but secure job, my first love had my life mapped out from the age of 18 to death.
The day after the delivery of a new passport I pitched up at Manchester Airport, posted a letter to her and got on the first available standby flight and scarpered around the world for a bit.0 -
Be bored to tears on his endless ramblings...Ive seen him on FB, and what the hell was I thinking!?0

I'd either be serving a prison sentence for murder or in a mountain of debt fortunately I saw sense and walked away.0

Well my first ex is now gay so i'm guessing we wouldn't be very happy :jSaving money like a trouper...0

As my first boyfriend was a silly teenage fling that only lasted a couple of months I don't think that counts, but if it does I would be living in Wales in a lie of a relationship, as he turned out to be gay and I was apparently the relationship that proved it. He wasn't malicious about it though and we are still in touch.
My first true relationship, I would be exactly the same as now. Met when I was 18, married when I was 27, still happily married a year on.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
My first boyfriend (of the snogging sort) was when I was 9 - we've kind of kept in touch (now through FB) and I wish we were still together as he's still the same spontaneous fun loving person he was.
My first fiance is still married to the same woman after 30 years, so I guess I'd still be with him, if he'd grown a pair and been prepared to say 'no' to me occasionally.... Other wise we'd have been in a very bad place. Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -
I would be part of the Horse Racing Fraternity, as he became a trainer.
I met him at school at the tender age of 16 .. He was 18, and we dated for over a year, but I just had to end it, as his love for me was just too suffocating (well, for a 16 year old anyway). He is the only man i've ever met who told me he "Loved Me" with me knowing he really really meant it. I bumped into him in our local supermarket about 18 months later, and he still had my photo in his wallet.
I am very happy with my partner of now 12 years, but what id give now for the same kind of love that my first boyfriend gave me.Some days I wake up Grumpy ... Other days I let him lie in.0 -
First boyfriend? No idea, I was 9.
First partner? Met him at 18 and 22 years later, we are happily married with two children.0 -
What's really strange is my first has pretty much followed the same career path as me... If we'd stayed together, my life would have followed pretty much the same path as it has, except I probably wouldn't have needed to move to the south coast, and not needed to learned Spanish.0

I would be living in suburbia with 2.4 children, holidaying in Florida and washing the car on Sundays. Probably a golf widow as well.0
