UK Mail, or ipostparcels (they are the same company) are impossible to deal with if anything goes wrong. They lost a parcel (which was an ebay purchase) and despite several requests to them to investigate nothing ever came of it. There is no phone number to ring, all has to be done through their very restrictive pro-forma. They asked for photographic evidence, but there is no way you can send it. After many attempts to locate the parcel and no action on UK Mail's side, I have had to refund the purchaser's money, and the postage, which has left me well out of pocket. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

If you use EBAY'S drop off at Argos posting service it will be carried by UK Mail / ipostparcels with problems being handled by UKMail Ipostparcels difficult and creaking customer service set up.
  • Once a tracked parcel has passed from Royal Mail to a foreign mail service it can be difficult to follow. I found this when following Christmas presents to Japan.

    Packagetrackr TRACKING SERVICE
    (Three w's pagetrackr dot com)

It provides a running trace (with alerts if you register) and a link to the official foreign carrier. Very Useful!

  • Entered the code and get the message "Congratulations! Your code PARCELFREE is saving you up to £5.00 against your first parcel!" but cost remained the same.

Any one else with this problem?

    Cheers Lee
  • Same here. The code is not working for me either.
  • MSE seemed to have pulled the Parcel2Go offer from the web page. You can still see it in Google's cache

About the code not working: I saw the same problem just now but managed to get it working by applying the code a second time around. Here's what I did:

    1. Typed PARCELFREE into the Promo box, clicked apply. It said applied but amount the same.
    2. Click the link against the name of the Delivery recipient (to the right of Delivery details:). This takes you back to the page where you enter the recipient address. Click the Next step button again to get back to the page where you enter the code.
    3. Enter PARCELFREE again and click apply.
    4. This time the price showed up as £0.00 and I was able to proceed without having to make payment.

Maybe this'll work for some of you out there?
  • Parcel2go are useless. Their customer service is none existant. I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy
  • i only ever use Royal Mail & Parcel force. Ok they are expensive compared to some of the cheaper companies, but i have never had an issue.

Plus ebay is full of scammers, claiming items havent turned up, or opened a charge back 5 months later. I have uploaded a photo of receipt with postcode and tracking number each time to paypal and have always won the case/beat the scammer.

[STRIKE]Save up for that rainy day[/STRIKE].
Start enjoying a stress debt free life.....now enjoying. thanks to all on MSE
  • Just like to post a warning to everyone - avoid Parcel Monkey at all cost! My parcels left the UK on 30 November for what was supposed to be 4-7 days delivery to the US. One arrived on 16 December and the other is still in transit. Turns out they decided my air freight would go by ground in the US. Customer service is non-existent and I have only been able to find out where my parcels are by making international calls. I will be filing a formal complaint - that is if I can figure out who to complain to!

Used P2G for the first time earlier this week to send an expensive camera with DPD (collection point). The £5 promotion for new users kicked in and with the cost of extra compensation cover, the cost came to £11 which was far cheaper than anyone else (RM Special Delivery wanted over £20 for instance).

Customer was happy since he was emailed and texted on day of delivery with a 1-hour delivery ETA.

Although I didn't have a problem with P2G, must say I'm impressed as it's far cheaper than going direct with DPD. I guess you only have issues if you encounter problems (Vodafone come to mind who really are useless) but for me I would use P2G again if I needed to. Thanks to the posters on this forum otherwise I may not have seen the £5 promotion.
