Is there any way to send internationally a parcel under 1kg cheaper than Royal Mail? We send around 5 parcels a week and currently they cost £8.80 each which for a parcel with a worth of £6.50 is a bit limiting to sending internationally. We usually are sending to Northern Europe, USA, Canada and Aus/NZ.0

Hi hoping someone can help spent hours trying to find cheap courier to send a pair of trainers to South Africa , having no luck , Tia for any help0

How much will they weight when packed? And can you give approximate dimensions?
All of that plus value as well please as insurance against loss on a high end item might add to the courier cost.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I am trying to arrange a private sale with someone and I can see from parcel2go that there are several companies that will allow you to drop off at a local store - but will any of them deliver to a local point, or do they all have to deliver to an address, and if so does anyone know which might be kind and agree to leave parcel in wheelie bin or with neighbour?
companies seem to be collect+, my hermes, dvd or ups
thanks for your help! KarynMe debt free thanks to MSE :T0 -
Hermes can't be faulted. They have just reduced the price of their parcel shop drop off to under 1kg to £2.60. Had a couple of missing parcels in the past but payed up under insurance. They seem to have learned from their previous mistakes too. They have just introduced an intenational service but not tried that yet.
WEIGHT BAND PRICE EX. VAT PRICE INC. VAT
Between 0-1kg £2.17 £2.60
Between 1-2kg £3.15 £3.78
Between 2-5kg £4.83 £5.79
Between 5-10kg £6.24 £7.49
Between 10-15kg £8.15 £9.78 Signature on delivery £0.83 £1.00 Remote area delivery (IM,HS,ZE) £1.67 £2.000 -
Hermes have now introduced an extra charge, which you are not made aware of until check out. They now charge 51 pence for you to drop a parcel to a parcel drop-off shop or 71 pence to collect it from your door.
This adds considerably to your overall postage costs. I have asked them for an explanation but they have not provided one thus far.0 -
