"Most retailers don't offer collection from your house for returns though, so the same option isn't available on the return leg."
No but if you have a sound business model most domestic carriers can do a consolidated returns to you maybe? And then you deal with the individuals.
But really if it is a collect service the % of non-collected should be negligible.0 -
Interesting video; one big issue I see is cost to end consumer.
Retailers are starting use multiple click and collect solutions. So at checkout you can choose, collect+, InPost, Doddle, Royal Mail, which would all be included in the delivery charge. I think DPD are lauching their store collect service very very soon.
Why would a consumer need to pay for an additional service?0 -
I'm trying to send a 6kg parcel to Australia, cheapest I can find is £80, does that sound right or is there a cheaper way?
TIALife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

Try using https://www.comparcel.com and https://www.parcel2go.co.uk , between those 2 you should find a good quote.0 -

Why would a consumer need to pay for an additional service?Just for clarity, it is the buyer who is/will be paying for this service?
You might want to consider having a subscription service as well as a per parcel cost.
Shoppers would only book with us directly where the retailer they are buying from doesn't have an integrated solution.0 -
I've decided to give parcel2go a chance, I know there is a lot of poor feedback - but I've made a bit of a daft error with a couple of items and I need cheap postage . My stuff isn't insured anyway for damage as it is china and glass so lack of insurance doesn't bother me- It's also dirt cheap..I've printed off labels and am going to drop them round to parcel shop as usual.
I hope this isn't going to go badly.
As for my error, I don't know if it was an ebay issue or not , it could just have been me. I sold three things with MyHermes postage quoted , but it wasn't until they were just about to end that I realised postage instead of showing as £2.78 actually showed as 27p , sigh.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. We started using these guys to send out wine from our shop. Second delivery they claim to have damaged the box in transit (during the last leg of the delivery) and then said it had to be destroyed as it was hazardous materials. They gave us no compensation, no proof of damage and the only way we found out it hadn't been delivered was the customer was complaining. They wouldn't even refund us for the delivery!!!! Can you believe it?!!!
Steer well clear of sending anything with them if you ask me.0 -
I contacted parcel2go on the Thursday requesting a collection on Friday. i paid for a 24 hour service it and sat back. Got a text message on Friday morning stating parcel will be collected between 0700 to 1900. Waited in all day. No collection driver. Then I got another text saying I was out when they tried to collect. I was fuming, cant speak to Parcel2go by phone, had to use live chat. I was promised a collection on Monday. So waited in all day Monday, and guess what..... no show again. Contacted Parcel2go yet again. They gave me their word that it would definatly be collected Tuesday. Tuesday morning, text message saying it was going to be collected.
Tuesday afternoon, got another text saying that I was out when the collection driver arrived. I WAS IN ALL DAY! I ended up driving 35 miles to a TNT depot and giving them the parcel. I was treated so well by TNT unlike Parcel2go.
Hopefully,I was just unlucky, but I cannot trust Parcel2go again unless they change radically.
Parcel2go sounds really good, but they failed me big time0 -
