What a family huh, there's so much damage been done there it would probably be now impossible to change the way he is, is a sad story but even sadder is his father hoping the wife will change - really....? He should take a leaf out your book and do the same as you. She's fallen out with all her family so even when she started falling out with them in the beginning it didn't occur to her to think wait a minute, perhaps I'm causing this....no, she carried on until she'd fallen out with every last family member - to me that equates to a very disturbed human being - your OH shud move back in with her and they can be miserable together.

OP, sorry l couldn't read all your first post as it was too upsetting, but l wanted to say we'll done for making the decision to dump the vile creature.

BUT..... Please don't fall for his promises when you've gone, l suspect he'll promise you the earth. Just get out and stay away, l would also try and have someone help for handing over your daughter if he wants access, don't let him have an opportunity to plonk himself down in your new place, YOU are in control now. X

    Happy moneysaving all.
  • Anyway last night came the "oops what have I done, is she really leaving this time?" attitude. You know how it is...being nice, making me a cup of tea, a kiss on the top of my head as I sat wrapping Christmas presents.
Then he got big tears in his eyes and said how much he would miss his baby daughter. Don't get too excited folks...an apology never escaped from those toxic lips.

    "Toxic lips" - love it!!!

3Way - if you ever doubt the decisions you are making or the new road you are travelling, just keep that image in your head. ;)

  • Hi all

A friend of my cousin has a house I can rent and move into on Saturday....yes the day after tomorrow! I have been to see it and it is very nice and in a decent area. So I shall spend the next couple of days packing and getting organised. I probably won't have internet access for a week or so, need to sort out more importants; water, leccy, gas etc and then sort out the internet. So huge thanks again everybody for your kindness, compassion, common sense and sharing your experience...it has been appreciated more than you will ever know.

Shall be back to update in the near future.... X X X X

Fantastic! :) You're going to be so much more relaxed when you're not constantly watching what you say and making sure you don't do something 'wrong'.

    Good luck!

You can get a pay as you go mobile dongle from many of the main suppliers e.g. 3.

It may take a little longer to get internet access sorted than you think.

Do you want to restrict contact with OH? If so, you might also want to consider getting a new SIM card / cheap mobile phone - for all your friends to useto contact you. You will have to keep in touch with OH for your child's sake, but you don't have to have your old number on 100% of the time.

I am a stay at home mum and cannot afford to pay the mortgage of our family home...(Purchased in the last 5 year...no equity in it)...so I shall have to lose everything and move into rented accomodation. I will gain back my peace of mind, my freedom, the ability to make daily decisions and choices without having them critiqued...a worthy swap. And most importantly...ensuring my daughter's future isn't laid out has mine has been.

    Thanks again. x x x

And you'll be losing the millstone around your neck, the negative shadow that is cast over everything you do and the appalling daily influence in your daughter's life. Good luck - you seem to have a clarity about your situation which will carry you through the hard times, but surely nothing can be worse than carrying on like this.
  • Great news 3Way - stay strong and good luck with the move :) Let us know how you get on.

What a heart breaking post. I have sat and read through the entire thing twice with tears in my eyes. Im not very eloquent like a lot of the folk here, but I hope you have managed to do what you set out to do 3wayfreedom, and will keep an eye out for your update.

All the very best wishes to you luvvie xx
