Of course you can join, Solstice_3 and Motoko. A very warm welcome to you. biggrin.gif Have fun saving. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 5 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

Hee hee, I'm glad you said nice crazy, Sue! I think I like Looney Tunes better than my boring old initials, so consider that adopted!

Good Heavens, I'd already done that yonks ago, Cazzie! :rotfl:

Your £200 Target has been put on as requested, WantToBeSE, all the best in meeting it, or more!

Hello :) I'm still saving! My pot is now about a quarter full and I can't decide whether to crack it open in the new year or carry it on until I graduate in June - I think I might carry it on. Could you amend my target please to 'save until graduation'?

I have a feeling that might be an extended deadline too but :shh: heheh

    Edit - I'm number 1427 :)

That'll be fine, kiss_me_now9, however it's most handy for you, just please, whenever you do count up, please come back and let us know your Total. BTW, Could you kindly pop your number on your siggy for me please, thanks. :)

Even athough I have a separate pot (and do an additional challenge) for £2 coins, I will be using the Sealed Pot principle for it so I will be adding it to my Sealed Pot 2013 total. Hope that is ok. :)

Hi Gap, I know this came up last year or 2010 and I said "No". However, are the £2 thread Totals added up at the end of the year or whenever?? If they are then, sorry, but it has to be "No" as it would be the same total used twice even though it's on a different challenge; if they're not then ok and folk can gladly add them here. I think that's fair, but please let me know the answer to the question first. Thanks.
I may be moving into my brothers house as he is in the army and wont be home much. This will mean i can cook in the evening and take lunch to work. I'm hoping, even though the living expense will be more, my food bill will go down. We shall see. I'm giving it a trial for a few months to see how it goes :) exciting.

Sue the 'german' market was fantastic (for food)! We decided just for one day to not worry about the waistline and we ate A LOT!

Potted £8.94 over the weekend. Got a handful of change to pot tonight when i am home. Also, i got 26p interest in my SPC bank account :)

Hi Ruth, good to hear you enjoyed yourself at the market, though talk about [STRIKE]pigging out[/STRIKE] making the most of the food! Good for you! ;)

DomRavioli, there's no need to rejoin or have a new number. We always stick to the same ones....aside from that..yours is lucky! ;) You did really well this year, now, do you want to stick with the same Target or a new one??

I really do hope your Brothers house will work out, fingers crossed for a favourable outcome...and all the best to him in the army! :)

  • Hello all I am still filling my pot, joined the SPC club last year but I've only got approx £100 in there so far (haven't done this religously over the last year) so I am going to keep it there and carry on with it over the next year.

Saving towards a first house with my boyfriend so this will come in handy. I am just putting £2's in there.

The pot i've got says it can hold £2000 in £2's once completely full so that's my target for the year!!

I've just done the £2 Savers Club and Sealed Pot challenge separately but for 2013 I'm just going to do the Sealed Pot Challenge. I'm still going to save £2s - I'll put gold coins in a separate pot for ease of counting - but stick to one challenge. I think I'll find it easier to keep up with the thread this way and I'm looking forward to a higher total.
I think I'm going to have to find a bigger pot for this year ... :)

    Hello

Just 45p for me today but 20p of that was roadkill (yay!). I thought I'd have more to pot but today is the last day of my weekly budget. Maybe there'll be more tomorrow.

You might not have been saving religiously, unoriginal_uk, but the £100 you've saved is still very, very good! However, you keep it in and carry on by all means....and lets hope you fulfil your dream of £2000!!! All the best. :grinheart Did you want me to pop the Target on or just wait and see?? It's up to you.

Good Heavens above, Ruth! You little gannet you!!! ;) Ah, once in a while never hurts - so long as you went for a 2 mile jog after!

Hello to everyone who has joined today! :santa2: One word of warning, it's a little addictive, but I guess that just means more savings and that can't be a bad thing!! ;)

I rehomed 16p today, how very kind of me...right?! :D Plus £1 for a 'purchase' from Mossy's Market!

Walked to the post office and scoured the floor for road kill but didn't even find a penny!! Forgot to do it earlier in the day though, must get in to the habit of searching the pavement as I walk along!!
Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!
