  • I'm sorry to hear about your cat mommyof4 :(

Today I have potted £5 :) It had been reserved for car parking but my plans have changed and I don't want to be tempted if it is left in my purse!
  • Sorry to hear you we're left with debt from the ex, sadly I have been too in the past though it was only a relationship not a marriage, it's so hard when you have nothing to really show for it. I just wanted to get away so left him in the rented house, with the furniture, tv etc and moved in with my parents, with nothing to show but debt. Oh well.

I am due mid May. It's all worked out so well as hubby is in afghan now but due back in April and I will be debt free in May.

Good luck with clearing your debts, we'll be keeping you focused on the weekly challenge too. :D not in a stalker kind of way though. :D

    Ooooo I'm a May birthday - good luck :)

I haven't posted for awhile but I have been feeding my pot regularly. 4 franks go in when I have an alcohol free night and I've also 'paid' myself for ironing DHs shirts (a bit cheeky).

I'm aiming to pot enough to get myself a laptop but it's a tall order.
    Trying to keep in budget.

I see that some people are counting their spoils as they go along, but I taped my empty choccy tin up to stop me doing that! Does it matter? I'm just waiting for when money finally hits money rather than the wide bottom of the tin, then I'll feel like I'm starting to get somewhere!!

I count mine up cause i hate surprises. I am a bit of a control freak and like to keep my potting on a spreadsheet. If i didn't know how much was in there i think i'd go nuts or open the pot too early at the very least lol. Just do whatever you feel comfortable with :)

It's lovely to read all your news.

I have two saving pots on the go, one is towards summer holiday and then christmas and this pot I put any money saved from grocery trips, or odd pennies/pounds that I find in the wash basket. I don't count how much is going into this pot.

Today, I have started another pot, this contains the money left over each week from my grocery budget. This pot is to help pay for paint/materials as hubby and I wish to try and get our house ready to hopefully move somewhere smaller. I will keep a running total of how much I manage to save in this pot so that it can go towards the yearly total.

I have a paper monster that I need to go and tackle now, we can't even consider moving until I have all the paperwork under control.

    I'll pop in later.

    Hi all

My first washing-machine kill yesterday, 11p! It's probably my own money anyway but Patrick needed feeding so in it went :)

I too lost my cat at the end of last October and I said 'never again' cos it was so sad and she went so fast.
But the house didn't feel right without a cat in it so DD and I have adopted a couple of strays from the rescue who need lots of tlc and patience to get them to trust humans again. It's so lovely when they progress a step I'm glad we did it tho' I'll always miss little J (and her predecessors).
    Sorry. Sad moment.

Keep potting potters, only 10 months until Opening Day!
