Phew, sorted through accounts and receipts. Had to guestimate a little but will be back on track properly now, and as a bonus I have 19p to pot.
Just need to check DH's savings account to see what our deposit total is currently standing at so that I can update that too.Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
Evening potters, oldies and newbies all...
A tearing-my-hair-out day today, as I sadly had to raid the holiday fund to pay the plumber's bill... good job I had already taken the P*ntins payment out of it, so that's safely booked and paid for, but now there is only a tenner left in there. I am very CROSS :mad: but at least I didn't put it on a credit card lol.
Otherwise, 20p found in a shoe (where else?!) so into the pot it went before anyone could claim it as theirs.
I see that some people are counting their spoils as they go along, but I taped my empty choccy tin up to stop me doing that! Does it matter? I'm just waiting for when money finally hits money rather than the wide bottom of the tin, then I'll feel like I'm starting to get somewhere!!
Jakes-mum, you are a lucky bunny with your dad! Mine was just the same for me a few (ha!) years ago when I had my first place and he came and did all the decorating and other jobs that needed doing (he always did like to be useful, bless him). Give him a big hug and a kiss and tell him how great he is and he'll be made up (especially if you give him choccy biscuits as well!)
Wyre, just go for it, especially if it fits around the kiddywinks. As already pointed out by somebody else, I've no doubt you've got way more than the "experience" requested just from your daily life!! Some of the things asked for these days really are quite ridiculous, but there you go. Good luck!
Well, have a lovely evening everyone, happy potting, and stay warm (especially in the snowy wastes of the north...)
Until next time, give yourselves a big hand for all the collective saving that's going on; Sparky won't know what to do with himself when the totals come rolling in at the end of November! :TSPC No. 104 (oh no I've lost my magic 2000!)

Do you think if Shakespeare were alive today and knew of this forum that Hamlets soliloquy would have been very different.......'To pot?.....or not to pot?......That is the question?
And we all know the answer!!!!! Definitely to pot!!!!

Hi everyone
Not been potting for a while, had a strange few days. My youngest son was 7 on Thursday so that was joyous. But I lost my beloved (22 month old) cat on Friday. His heart gave up. Words cannot express how upset I am

Hi all, found 10p amongst the file of post I finally got round to sorting through today. Good job i did as i found I'd been charged nearly £10 interest on a credit card balance that I underpaid by . . . 1p. So they got a quick phone call and have kindly recredited my account, cheeky so and sos. As it was money that was kind of spent anyway I was good and put £10 in the pot.Make £2020 in 2020 £178.81/£2020
