    Hi all,

I've decided I'm going to update my sig with savings even though it will all go on paying off our wedding in a few weeks anyway. Will be good for motivation otherwise I won't have anything to add until May! But will start from 0 again once bills are paid :)

I have a refund of £85 coming to me from my gas supplier, told them my bills were too high but nooooo, didn't want to listen :D hopefully end this month with £750.

  • Saving £300 plus paying a holiday is good going!! I have a few hundred in my house, will be saving more to it and add it at year end so that will be at least £1,000 by then! Dont want to hear about lost interest though!

I just heard back from gas and electric suppliers, £30 a month electric and £45 a month gas for 2 bed flat?! Is that good?!

Not really YB, have you tried moneysupermarket? Check cash back sites too, take a good couple hours to find a good deal and it'll save you hundreds. I managed to wangle £70 cash back via TCB when swapping suppliers and they were £30 a month cheaper :D I'm in a large 3 bed house and pay £27 elec and £28 gas a month.(not the same supplier in previous post)

  • Hi all,

Total saved for me for jan is £400. Not as much as I had hoped but paid off the xmas cc bills too so not a terrible start. Going to start budgeting to see if I can do a bit better for Feb.
  • Woohoo! Its PAYDAY!! :D

£200 to report for savings at the mo! But should be more added throughout the month with my partners part-time job & Tax credits. So should be £500 in total.

Thank godness we are nearing the end of miserable January.
