Congratulations JCG on your new arrival. Best of luck with saving for the house deposit.0 -
I made my goal of £8000 in 2013. I won't be joining next year, as sadly I have to focus on my debts. I have bought my first flat, and that is where I put the £8000 as I was saving it as a deposit. Also I had a lodger last year which helped me make the savings, and can't have one in my new place.
In the meantime due to moving etc my debts crept up. Quite a bit of it is on 0% so I have a chance to work on paying these off before they get too costly. Thanks for running the thread and good luck to everyone saving.:)0 -
Congratulation JCG, that's fantastic news!
OMG I have just discovered spreadsheets! This is now my new passion :rotfl:
OH just rolls her eyes when I mention them but they are helping me to account for all my money and hopefully save more yay!Pay off all your debts by Christmas 2025 no. 15 £0/69490 -
Wohoo, it's payday :j:j!
I am adding £200 to my pot this month as I am throwing £3k into my mortgage. Savings up, mortgage down
is my motto.
I will definitely join again next year, but also plan on trading the markets after some absence for which I will need some cash in the pot. After no increases for the past 4 years I have to do something to compliment my earnings.

£1683.24 for November, so i'm finally ahead of target after months of playing catch-up. Will hit the final goal on Sunday when the ISA standing order goes out on the 1st December :j:beer:
Thanks again SF for running the thread, it's been a great motivation to stay on track with the savings :T0 -
Payday for me yesterday so more put across to savings account. Total now is £9094 - this is spread between my emergency savings fund, credit union and some money left in an ISA which I will roll over into a new ISA next year.
Sorry I have not been sending in updates for the spreadsheet. I gave up in the summer when I lost it a bit and did my big overspend while on holiday. I will get back into updating the spreadsheet in 2014.0
