I've not updated for a while - although I've saved another £453.45 since the last update and have put it on the spreadsheet :j
Haven't quite reached my £4000 target however I spent over £700 putting my house on the market which I hadn't really planned to do until next year.
I'll update with my final total in a few weeks - thanks for the thread slowlyfadingSPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -

November update from me:
I managed to save £753 last month - less than I'd hoped, BUT I booked a holiday for next year, which cost me over £600. So I don't mind too much.
My new total is £73,097. I realise that I'm not going to reach £75,000 by 31 December, but I'm ok with that. It's good to have a goal and try your best to reach it!
Off to update my sig.

£39,000 in a Santander ISA at 3%
£10,000 in a Santander 123 account at 3% gross
£17,000 in a Santander First Home Saver at 3% gross
£4,000 in a Lloyds Vantage account at 3% gross
Plus about £2,000 in a Halifax current account, which is my main current account through which I 'filter' all my transfers each month (including a Halifax Reward account - £5 per month)
I've also opened a Nationwide FlexDirect 5% account, so I must chuck £2,500 in there.

£1803.87 to start off December - means that I'm now at £14,111.16 for 2013, so target reached
Stashed away another £454.32 over the past week, so up to £2258.19 for the month and £14565.48 for the year, although that's likely it for 2013 now. Good news is that i've just finished filling both Mrs L's and my cash ISA for the year - never managed to fill one before now so a bit of a milestone to do both before the calendar year is out
Now need to figure out what to use to hold savings until ISA season opens again next April0 -
Well I looked at a tutorial for new iPad users on the tube of you and have fallen in lurve. Ok, so I don't NEED one but I really really want one...even my 91 year old dad is getting one! So I'm going to save up for one. In my signature is my new 'iPad fund'. I can afford one now, but I need to save for it so I can learn to wait. You never know I may decide, when I have the money, that I don't want one any more!Pay off all your debts by Christmas 2025 no. 15 £0/69490
