My credit card balance last month hit zero for the first time in "a long time" so I had a bit more to squirrel away. A couple of sovereigns, a bit in the ISA, and the work's share options and SIP total £895 this month.

Will definitely not hit the year's target but I hope to pass £6k.

Thanks SF for setting up and running the thread. Congrats to all who have smashed or are almost at their goal.

And +1 from me - can definitely say that I wouldn't have saved so much this year without this thread :T

£2500 for October as I've had a bit of a windfall and didn't spend as much on holiday as imagined.

Now at the grand total of £15,000! I've almost maxed my ISA which has never happened before April before... will have to find an alternative!

Personal target reached with this month's savings (total £25,100), with 2 months to spare:j

A couple of weeks ago I thought about going all out for £30k in these final 2 months. Now I think it is too ambitious and am easing off the savings (and enjoying a little bit ).

I really could not have saved as much money without the inspiration of this forum. Well done to everyone participating in this event, and I wish you every success in reaching your targets.

    Best regards

do you think isa allowance will hit £12000 year 2014/15?

One could only hope, but I have personally lost all faith in this government and banks to do anything favourable for savers.

Will have to find out what shock awaits for ISA savers in December.

    Best regards

    Wages are in yay! :D

Declaring £500 for October. Expensive time of year for me, as it's the mrs' birthday on 15th November and then Christmas.

It will probably be December's payday that I hit my target. Nearly there though! :D

    Well done everyone.
    What will your verse be?
