Well I thought last month was going to be my final update... but as there seems to be more and more delays with the house move, I have had another month of saving!
Here goes;
Regular Saver 1: £250.00
Regular Saver 2: £250.00
Standing order : £1000.00
Online Saver: £834.64
Grand Total £2334.64
Not such a bad month, but it all feels very strange and messy! I have now pooled all my money together and its looks like a lovely big number in my current account... but it wont be there for long... It wont be long till I have to hand all my lovely money over!!!
Well done to everyone for all your totals... its been a fab year for saving! Best of luck and best wishes to all x0 -
Hi everyone
I am back after my op at the end of August. Thank you for the well wishes back then. Things seem to have gone ok. There are a few niggles that I would like straightened out but it could be worse.
Anyway, back on track for savings and I want to declare September's total as £343.91. That makes my total so far £3697.60 so only another £302.40 to hit target and that should be done in October's update
I just spent about an hour reading through the pages since end of August. It's great to be back reading along againMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
Mortgage today = £161,690.76

Ok, so I didn't update last month so declared both now - also amended July's as I somehow had added June's in there too. I'm sure I've messed up the numbers countless times now!
Anyway, declaring £1103.94 for August and £1210.10 for September.
Totally didn't think I'd get anywhere near those figures as I was only aiming for around £1k a month (but £13k for this year). But have been working my !!! off and have barely had a day to myself to chill out and been doing any extra work I can get my hands on.
My forecast shows I'll be about £900 short of my £13k target but I reckon I'll be able to make that up somewhere before the final update.
Everything's looking really promising for my first investment flat purchase next year - although was hoping it would be July, looks like it'll be October due to credit issues (why did I have to be so stupid with money all those years ago!!).
Anyway...£33570 savings and still going. Think I'll need to have a mega blow out when I hit £50k!!0 -
£920.31 in to start the month and take me past the £10k mark
Hopefully that's not all for the month, but any more will have to wait until I know the damage from a trip to the tooth driller...0 -
September has been a very kind month to me! Already submitted my form but will add the rest to Octobers figures.
Sold one of my cars and got another leaving a £2k surplus in the bank. Saved just over £350 on insurance and tax which were due because of the car change.
Then noticed my interest has been added end of September on my ISA. Another £530
Thats £2880 already this month before payday and I have smashed my target :j
Won't submit my form yet but have updated my signature. Anything saved between now and xmas will just be a nice bonus!Total Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0 -
Feeling a bit more optimistic about my finances at the moment in spite of not being able to meet target. Managed to drag my savings up a fair amount despite buying a new phone and having my car serviced, fingers x-d that October goes as well! Does help that I randomly keep remembering little pockets of money I have stashed in various places lol.£12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000

Hi everyone
I am so impressed with everyone's savings efforts, I could never imagine hitting such targets. I have submitted my form for September and managed to hit £308.46 making a total of £2430. Nowhere hear my target but still more than I would have managed if I hadn't joined this challenge so a huge thank you to you all for the motivation to keep going.
Happy saving everyone0 -
Popped in quickly to add my September booty! Just came back from a great holiday, cat needed surgery, more airtickets to Germany for the christening in November, and still managed to add £800 to the kitty.
Will read all your stories when I have a moment. My inbox is verrrrry full.

Hi All,
Just to say that I will be dropping out from here on in this years challenge. Having moved house and had to buy extortionate train tickets (all expenses that could have been planned better for) my savings have just gone off course and I'm going to take a break to get myself in a better position with understanding my finances.
I made it well past my target quite early on in the year, so hopefully that will be replicated next year when I return!
Good luck to all and I may still be lurking here to keep up with all your stories!Save £12k in 2014 Member 81 £1930.23/£50000 -
Hello all - sorry I've been MIA for the last few months. I decided to put my house on the market earlier than I had planned as I was originally going to do it next year. This resulted in me dipping into the savings for minor repairs, EA fees etc and I didn't want to report a reduction in my savings on here
Anyway, I am now back on track andback to where I was when I stopped updating. I have updated the spreadsheet with the new amount and. £4000 may be a stretch too far by the end of the year but I'd really like to try and achieve it. :ASPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0
