Payday this week and hoping to save £500 so I would have reached my target - £3,500 - not as much as some on here but a lot to me. I then want to continue saving until Christmas so might reach the £4,000 mark but might have a bit of a let up in October's pay as have seen some boots
!!
Good luck to everyone. Not long to go know.
I'm already starting to think about Christmas and how much it's going to cost!!

Ooh, negative savings for me this month
!
I've had to pay for a MOT/service, insurance, breakdown cover and road tax, and a new Macbook.
The big expense was putting more money aside in my interest free credit card pot, so that's all "paid" now (actually it's sitting in the bank earning interest until February). I know it's hypothetical and just moving money from one imaginary pot to another, but it's a lovely feeling to be free of, even hypothetical, debt!
I'm planning on catching up next month to get back on target. It's all gone so quickly!Save £12k in 2022 thread #7:

I'd like to get involved with this if I can.
I know we are almost 9 months through the year but I will have £8500 by the end of this month.
So my aim is to get to £12,000 by the end of the year.
Me and the OH have decided going forward that she will put in £300 a month and me £700 so a £1000 a month is possible.

Not the worse month, ended up positive for net wealth but negative for savings. Used £9,000 of savings so down to about £500 with no more expenses this month but a fortnights pay due on Friday should hopefully see me end the month on £2,000+. That would leave me £4,000 short of my £15,000 goal by year end. The £9,000 has been used to draw another income stream hopefully get a return within a few months. Next day off is 5th October. Need to keep busy/push income as high as I can before winter hits. Still some great totals being saved as we near an end can't believe less than 100 days till Xmas. Not long at all. Mot is due in 2 weeks, didn't want to mention as hoping itl just cost the £50 test fee!!:eek:Living frugally at 24

Hi all,
Am off on holiday for a week from tomorrow, but will post update on 1 September. I won't have time to do my monthly transfer today as the funds go into an ISA which I opened at another bank and I don't have them set up as internet banking as yet.
Keep saving everyone.

Just renewed my car insurance. First time I've stayed with the same company two years in a row because their renewal offer was very nearly as good as the cheapest on compare the market! I didn't think it was worth the hassle switching to a new company for the sake of ~£20 for the year. Plus this included legal cover and protected no claims.
£307 for the year. That's brilliant considering I was paying £140 per month just two years ago!
So my savings are slightly down from what my signature shows, but I get paid on Friday so I'll work out my new total thenWhat will your verse be?

Well pay day tomorrow and I'd have reached my target. Those boots keep popping into my head. Not sure whether to save less and reach my target in October and buy the boots or reach my target now and buy the boots in October. Think I will be going with the sensible option.

Saved another £2000 this month taking my total to £17,660 so far for the year. Behind target massively and hard to know what I have done with the rest of the money! Bah!
Good luck everyone and keep saving!
