£4100 this month (Commission paid)... Hurray! However will have a lot to pay for next month - holiday, flight tickets to see families in Far East and moving home... I am not sure whether I will hit the target of 30k this year though...

£700 this month once I hand over a cheque for my Post Office ISA. :) Less than I wanted to save due to a few unexpected expenses and next month's holiday (and socialising... it's all added up!) but next month should be a lot nicer.

  • £3000 saved in August - got paid for holiday I hadn't taken from a previous post :D

Snowgo - what phone app do you use to track your spending when you are out? I feel this is a very good idea - and something I may borrow ;)

Girlatplay - hope everything goes well with your op.

Everyone else - well done for the savings, or the paying off of debt.:T

Wages went into my account at 10pm today when it's payday tomorrow - first time that's ever happened!

Declaring £1,100 saved for August. Now reached 80% of my savings target for 2013. I think I should easily surpass it.

This is also the most money I've ever had at one time!

    Well done everyone :D
    What will your verse be?

  • Only 4 months left which doesn't sound alot but still 25% of the year!! I'm going to be at just shy of 75% my target at end of this month, should be at £11,000 out of £15,000 target so a nice round £1,000 a month to save every month to year end!! However we all know the unexpected can crop up, October last year I had to spend £2,000 to sort my van, only 7 months after buying it! Least I have always owned it and didn't have finance to pay along side it. £15k this year, £9k earmarked for elsewhere and £6k(more than 3 months expenses kept in current account) will be happy going into 2014!!

I'm declaring £ 984.17 for August and I've put the jumping man in my signature now on account of achieving the target I'd set for the year. I can't believe that I've done this by August. It makes all my scrimping and the hours of spreadsheet tracking finances feel like they've been really worthwhile.

Well done Snowgo. WOW, still 4 months to go and you've hit your target. Excellent result !

And also, thank you very much for the good wishes. I will try and relax on a beach for a week with a good novel .....

girlatplay all the very best for your op. We will all be thinking of you.

    Keep going,

  • £850 for me in August. Better than the last couple of months but still think i'll fall short of my 12k aim.
