Just about to go down south to see dad again (this time he asked to see me, which I'm a bit worried about) so I thought I'd pop by. Have been keeping up with what's going on while helping my sister and Pa-everyone is doing so well.

I've managed to put away quite a bit of money this month, but it's a long story lol. So I will declare £816.39. Next month I will be going back and forth on the train which is £100 a pop from Cumbria so I don't know how I'll do. OH is subsidising me at the mo bless her.

    Love to everyone

Just popping on to declare £343.88 for June. That's me at 66% of my target at the half way mark. Pleased with that :)

Hugs to all who need them.

    Off to update front page.
    Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
    Mortgage today = £161,690.76
    300 271 payments to go.
    House buyout fund £21,000/£40,000
  • Just popping in to declare £153.83 for June, not as much as I'd hoped but at least its savings :-) Thats me at 21% of my total.....and its halfway through the year...oops....clearly hoping for a better next 6 months! though the reason I can't save much this month is I've pretty much paid for my holidays in July and Aug so hopefully I'll have more spare in those months!

Well done everyone else! Off ot update the front page

Glad to hear that everyone is doing well.

Been a fantastic month for me, added £646 to my savings, taking me to £1788 saved for the year, or ~90% of the way towards my £2000 target for 2013 :D. Should reach my target next month, and potentially exceed it, then I can wait and see as to whether I can add any more savings in the last 5 months of the year, as moving to London in September isn't going to come cheap.

Susanne you are doing great yourself!!

Thank you and you are doing great too. You and youngsaver1995 are real inspirations. So young and already so financially savvy and responsible.

There are not many 21-year olds that can say they own a property and have a healthy savings pot. Well done you :T!

Just bought another ticket to Germany for next weekend. My DD needs me :D:D:D!

    Have a great weekend,

Im still following this thread albeit not posting as much. Im still trying to save as much money as possible but being pregnant isnt doing much for my motivation.

September/October may be super expensive months if all goes to plan then ironically I should be able to save around £1000 a month. Maybe 2014 will be my year for hitting the target haha.

Ended up saving £1,061.40 this month; better than the minus £2000 odd from the previous month :o

Nah, the new house is all done with now (from a 'how can my bank balance fall so quickly?!?' perspective), so should be back on track from now on :T

don't really know what is going on with my savings yet but I will post it soon!

had a rather worrying oops moment, I had thought I was getting a tax rebate to add to my lovely savings fund... turns out I have somehow ended up recieving one in my wages and one in cheque... for different amounts... can't count any of it until I have sorted out with HMRC :(

  • +£1300 for June.

First month I have been able to save for 3 years and managed to put away £1300 of my £1700 wage as I paid this rent previously and had a tax free month as first job (should usually get paid 1400). So a good start :)

Expecting some payments I'm owed in July, £360 from my partner, £100 prize I won for my uni grade, maybe £350 from student finance, and £1000 depost, hopfully my first ever ebay sales - plus my goal to save £600 from my paycheck, so fingers crossed I have a very positive update in a month!
    Saving since 2005 --> September '13: 37,800! Mortgage deposit saved! :)
