    Hallo all,

Back from southern Germany where I spent far too much money ...... it was soooooo hot I had to buy several items of summer clothing. Going back mid-July for 2 weeks as DD is having twin boys :T:T and is crying out for her mama :D:D:D:D:D:D!!

Payday tomorrow so I am hoping to stash some cash into a cash ISA. I need to find a new one as most of my savings are in a 2-year ISA which I could only add to until 31 May. S&S ISA is not looking too good at the moment - stock market is playing funny !!!!!!s! Maybe I should invest in diamonds - they really are a girl's best friend!

Now if only the sun would start shining .......

    Hello

    Savings Update!

Got asked to loan a family friend who is down on her luck £750 so had to dip into my savings for that. Added in £2000 this month taking me over the £12000 mark but still £12000 to go as mentally I've already set my target as £24000!

    Good Luck everyone!

I need to work out my savings for May and June I think - off to check the spreadsheet in a mo. I have only been able to save my scheduled savings, nothing extra, but got to be glad I can do that. I have kept reading so good luck everyone.

I seem to not be able to stick to my spreadsheet, something always crops up!! Howeer I am hell-bent on getting as close to £10k as possibly in 12 months so watch this space!!!

Need to go back to the spreadsheets first though, work out what I can cut out.
  • Payday for me tomorrow. I have already put £500 towards new emergency fund and will put more across tomorrow.

I have phoned my pension compamy this morning and raised my monthly payments too. This will start in August. I don't count money going to this as part of my savings since it is a longer term plan.

Going to open an account with my local credit union today. I plan to build up saving in this account to go towards new (to us) cars in a few years time so that never again will other savings be eaten into due to car issues.

Will be on holiday for a week from Friday and I am really looking forward to it. Will do my monthly update for July when I get back.

Payday and I am only declaring £550 for this month as we have to renew insurances on both cars which will be about £800 so that will eat up the rest of the savings.

I've had a really tight 4-5 weeks where I just don't feel that I've made progress where I've paid for holidays, cars, mots etc but now all thats out of the way we can begin to stack into the savings again.
