Really sorry to hear that, Cydney. I hope the chemo works and he doesn't suffer from the side effects too much. Take good care of yourself as well :)

    Hello everyone!!

Wow - this is our 5th update... these months are flying by!!!

    Right so the monthly update:

    BS Standing Order - £1000.00
    Regular Saver 1 - £250.00
    Regular Saver 2 - £250.00
    Online Saver - £641.62

    Total - £2141.62

I am always so amazed when the monthly total starts with a 2....
I've been doing so much overtime in the last couple of months, it may die off in the next couple of months or so, so just trying to do as much as I can now to bring my totals up! And the added benefit of overtime, is the lack of time to be out spending money! Win win if you ask me! lol

Also I'm sending hugs to Cydney! x

Savings are back up to £1000 as of this month, following the decision to pay off the car.

Now we have 5 months behind us and approaching the halfway point, there seems to be a lot of drop outs!!! Maybe just folk not updating as much as should be, either that a few are giving up but not telling us.

On a personal front I'm at about £4,500 with about £2,000 to be added in June. £6,500 end of June with an aim of stepping it up and getting nearer £15,000 than the £12,000 most seem to be aiming for. Will still be great going achieving the £12k as once iv hit £9k(for investment) anything over that will be used to save into my 6 months expenses account for should anything untoward happen I know il be ok for 6 months at least. £3k in there would cover more than 2 months expenses so should complete that challenge by march 2014 and back onto this but next year will be aiming for £14,000 in 14. Meaning the 2 years combined will be £20k+. Looking at the bigger picture keeps me motivated as I'm not doing near as well as I should be, spent too much on my house!

Declaring £276 saved for May, which is fairly good for me :). Now at 57% of the year's target of £2000. Expect to have a good month in June, so can hopefully add another £400. I should be able to achieve about £3000 saved in 2013 by September, but then I move to London to start a full-time job at Canary Wharf, so saving, or even maintaining savings, may become difficult.

    Hi,

So you are moving to my neck of the woods? I live at South Quay, Canary Wharf. Let me know when you get here and I shall take you out for a welcome drink. You are doing incredibly well and will continue to do so, I am sure.

    All the best,
