Well, I just 'paid' my savings 2,255 for this month. I'm pretty happy!! Hopefully toward the end of the month I should have some extra money coming in, so maybe another 500. I have a decision to make though...I deciding whether or not to get rid of my car... my payment is around 400 a month and of course there is insurance and petrol etc. I live in an area with great public transportation, I can walk to work and really I only use it when I am lazy... a complete waste of money...but I am a boy with a toy (no innuendo intended!!). I should just get rid of it, right? I am over halfway to my total that would enable me to buy a house in cash... its my goal before I hit 40 (2 years later). Losing the car would bring that really big dream closer.

Anyway, I am pretty pleased with my total this month, but now pretty broke :)

I would say its a no brainer, get shot of it!! Iv sold my bike *only passed test when turned 21 last summer and sold it earlier this year * as i knew it would mean no days off work to go for a blast about, which costs money. Plus its money sitting in the garage every winter. Can always buy another in the years to come but for now iv got money to save and buisness expenses. Few things i need to buy to keep the income coming so savings building. Will end up at about £15,000 for 2013 at the rate im going....as July, August and September are my main earning months!!

  • just updated my sig and managed £984 this month!

Not sure how as I never seem to have any spare cash but have done extra shifts and agency shifts to keep us ticking along and have been buying xmas and birthday pressies when I see them on offer so sorted for xmas. Also continue with savings running alongside with yearly savings, xmas, holidays etc which I don't include in the total.

Hope everyone is doing ok, keep going even if you have a bad month draw a line under it and start again. I plan to save which helps as it is budgeted in rather than wait to see if there is any spare at the end of the month. Good luck all :)
