I am trying to finally sell something on ebay but all the postage stuff scares me in that i dont think i will make any money.

I have found the same issue with eBay costing so much and the 25% fees with PayPal as well, a great alternative is to try gumtree and Friday Ads and post things up for free, plus buyer collects so no postage costs! In addition I have found 3 local for sale pages on Facebook and have had great success there over the last few months, much quicker to put info online that way too! Good luck! x

Reporting a saving of £2,200 for March, am really pleased with out. A lot has been saved by going without- I've been a bit of a money tyrant this month, DH and the kids are starting to look at me funny :D

Oh but have had some luck too, PPI pay back from a loan OH had before we met. I didn't even know about it but got sent a letter saying he may have been missol,d PPI and one form and a phone call later we were £250 richer :D

Also started buying premium bonds rather than playing the lottery, at least this way we get to keep the money when we don't win :D

My partner got an unexpected bonus at work yesterday, they usually do it at Xmas but since he didn't get one we assumed they had stopped doing it but seems they have changed it to end of the tax year!! Looks like we can increase our goal again! :)

Please could you remove me from the challenge. I have decided to overpay my mortgage instead of saving this year with a view to moving house next year.

Good luck everyone with your targets, you are doing really well.

considering asking for a pay rise... any tips?!

My boss is not like other people  He is an oddity in a sea of "normal" people. To give you a picture, cross Freddie Krueger with Gru from Despicable Me and that is what he looks like (think big nose and hat). Actually, he resembles a seagull, as one of his children pointed out! I asked for a payrise once (in 6.5 years. Sometimes we get an annual payrise of about 2% if he is feeling guilty) because I truly believed I deserved it. I did my research and built a good case for myself. I had all my facts and figures. I asked him and he said yes! Put it this way, one of my two side by side desks only has 3 legs. My printer was bought from the Bay of E at a total cost of 99p. The only thing that properly works in this office is me, everything else is broken or on its last legs. He is not one for giving money away. To be fair to him, he does give to charity, but that is his only soft spot. If I can get a payrise out of my boss, everyone else is laughing!

Back to topic, £31.20 to savings. I had forgotten about the £30 that was coming my way! :D
    Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

My purse is £120 lighter after replacing dangerously low brake pads. This was done at a garage by a friend too so was as low as it could be, quoted £300 by K.Fit.

    Hi everyone

I know its late, but please can I join. Dropped out last year as I was being daft and put down for whole amount even though it's nearly equivalent to my total net pay. Much better to aim for something that's a stretch but not unachievable. This is going to be £4000.
Have updated my signature in anticipation.
