I've been very busy with work so not updated for a couple of weeks.
I've not managed to put much into savings for February but have a healthy amount sat in my current account. I'm reluctant to move it across to savings at the moment as I will have to pay out nearly £900 for a work related course next week (I will get reimbursed and then it can go to savings!).
I'm also still needing to open another account (probably an ISA as not contributed to one this tax year). I'm still waiting in hope of a better rate appearing.
Still on emergency tax, but hoping this will have been rectified by next pay day and should have a very healthy tax refund due.
Some positive news, I've signed up to company pension scheme. The company contribution is very generous so that's £275/month going in from next month onwards (wasn't planning on adding it to my total though)
Good to see everyone else doing so well!0 -
Anything I need to do to keep anyone updated?

Did SF see my comment everyone pays £1 and it goes to a charity of her choice?

Perhaps this could be done through a JustGiving site as they can also receive £1 donations via text message. That way it's easy for everyone to donate and we get so see the chosen charity beneffiting.
You could also leave the page open to give us an opportunity to donate a further amount of our choosing once we have hit our targets at the end of the year0 -

I've been one of those people who signs up to the challenge then goes MIA. I have been saving just not very good at updating
Sorry x
So far in Jan/ Feb I've saved £1308.25! That's been a combination of interest, frugal living and more recently cashback. Can't believe I havn't been taking advantage of cashback websites before. Its so easy.
O and also money which would have been spent on council tax for Feb and again will go towards savings in March :j
Not sure how to update this, but its all in my signature.
EDIT- Just found the link to the form. Have submitted my total. Thanks SF.Total Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0 -
Just had an email (on a Sunday??) from the water company, saying they are reducing our monthly water bill by £30 - so that's £300 more into savings this year then! Also they've just fitted a water meter, so I think we'll be able to cut this bill down even further once we know how much water we're actually using.
Still waiting for the gas & electricity switch to come through - expecting that to save us about £20 a month too.
Good saving everyone!Save 12k in 2013-2014-2015-2016-2017-2018-2019-2020-2021-2022 - then early-retired.0
