*delurking*my card declined (meant to be £300 in), as did girlfriends(£250), as did savings account (£1400) - all declined. Now at this point well and truly screwed. Our accounts have been cleared out, total loss of money £1950 + the fuel tank that will need to be paid back - we are probably going to miss the boat on our rent too.We did use each card at an ATM in quick succession the other day so wonder if the cards had been cloned. Especially as there appear to be transactions in 3/4 different time zones across the globe at the same time.
Just had to give Mancman a huge (((hugs))) - it's a horrible situation to be in. Similar happened to me earlier this year but thankfully my bank were really on the ball & stopped my cards very quickly. They were fab about refunding the money too so fingers crossed your bank is on the ball & gets this sorted quickly too.
I never use ATMs anymore - it's always cashback from within a store for me now - don't know if that's how they got my details but ....

Hi everyone, hugs and love to all
Well where do I begin? Im another one who has gone off the rails BUT I am going to continue because I can feel the spending will just go on if I dont rein it all in quick:( What happened? I thought I would just do a small shop for Xmas goodies and I went mad - not to be trusted you see and then to make matters worse Ive already eaten some of it:( so although I will get some money back for Xmas food off DD's (they are coming to me for Xmas dinner and we are supposed to be sharing the cost!) it wont be all of it as I have gone a bit mad, well not a bit - really mad:eek: SO I am going to put that behind me and start again, the only thing in my DDD sig thats correct are the NSD as I havent a clue how much I spent, so all I can say is that Im sorry, I have let you all and myself down big time, but I am determined and have learnt a valuable lesson - Im not to be trusted with loads of cash in my purse!!!!
Anyway, confession over and the start to a brand new day which will be a NSD and thanks for listening (well reading really).
Its great to read how well people are doing, I knew it wasnt going to easy but hey thats what challenges are all about and after the first flush off being so positive I feel I have let us all down - ah well onwards with a new day. Sorry to have gone on but just typing how I feel......

Nannygladys - if you think you've got a bit OTT with the food shop, sit down with it all and see if there is anything you think you can return. It might make you feel a little betterDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

MOT yesterday - a massive £392.77  four new tyres and brake pads. However, I'm being positive. I've put it on my credit card (Tesco - loads of points!!) but paid off £300 of it this morning so I'm not too worried (I thank NOvember and DDD entirely for being able to do this). I also bought a couple of drinks on Monday as we went out for a meal but the boyf paid for that, bless him. Also went to Ikea yesterday and spent £25 on my first real Christmas tree but I got a £20 Ikea voucher back to spend in January and I was planning on getting a new chest of drawers with my Christmas money anyway.
Going to adopt NSK's mantra...onwards and upwards!! Positve mental attitude!!

Hi all, sorry I haven't been on for a while although I have been keeping up with everyone's posts
Mancman if the transactions that have emptied your accounts have been reported as fraudulent most banks will try and reimburse you the funds on same day so that you are not put at any further inconvenience during the investigation. If your bank haven't done this, I would be wanting to know why. Also, once the investigation is complete if you incur any charges/late payment fees etc, the bank would also cover these for you to if the investigation confirmed that you had been a victim of fraud. Hope everything gets sorted for you, it is a horrible thing to happen to anyone and even worse around this time if year.
Kat still no vouchers!! They emailed me on Friday to say the vouchers would be dispatched on the Friday night - I am still yet to have them posted through my door!
So, I have kinda gone off trackbut this will not knock my motivation!! I will get back in track, might not reach the 20 NSDs but will certainly try for as many as I can. My downfall seems to be take aways!!
Anyways I am only on 3NSDs due to getting food everyday before work. I promise this will stop as of now, meaning today, tomorrow and Friday will all be NSDs. I only plan to spend now for Christmas presents (hopefully all done in one day once I receive my vouchers ) and for my shops. This week I have £7 in vouchers for Mr T so that will really help for my shop on Saturday!!
Had some really fab news in work yesterday, turns out that in February I should get a pay rise of around £2000 which will get back dated to 1st December and then in March I should get another (roughly) £1000 pay rise as well as a lump sum bonus... Not going to get my hopes up until I actually see it in my payslip but if it all goes through it will really help with my debt demolishing. I aim to clear £2670 by March 2013 so fingers crossed.
Also, I had some cosmetic work done through transform a couple of years ago and they have now asked me to feature in an advert article which I will get paid £100 forso that's another £100 to the £2670!
Keep the motivation going everyone, we can do this :j

Humour...? Been eating pumpkin seeds to tide me over until its viable to eat my lunch as I am at work until 1800... just dropped some down my top and can't seem to dig 'em out again...lol!
Right now...MancMan I am glad you have kinda figured out where its all gone. I have never heard of One Bank? Whats the news so far with them..? I would hope they sort this out quick smart as its there fault and not yours..How frustratingly annoying for you!!!
Sholly what a horrible amount to part with for the car - proper money buckets aren't they! I think I might have just about scraped together the money for my repairs - but more on that later when its confirmed! Well done on your Ikea money back... I do love a new piece of furniture!!!
NannyGladys I have this image in my head of you rolling home with all your Mr T bags, curling up on the sofa and emptying them of the goodies... nom nom nom! So - perhaps we shouldn't go out without a list, checked items on the website first and the correct money? hard to do though but important.. Can you return any of it? Especially any alcohol - tell the girls money donations are towards food only but they have to bring their own bottle??
Candy what superb news about work! I know you don't want to get to excited until its in your account but I am so chuffed for you well done!!! Your employers clearly know what you are worth!!!
Rising - I wonder how viable it would be to stop using ATM's for a month at least, or a debit card in general. I have used mine twice so far ( all budgeted for ) but for petrol its easier on the bike to pay at the kiosk...hmmm one for NSK to think about!!!
Right I got a few thing to be getting on with...

NSK sorry it's not 'one bank' don't want to really name names of banks/financial institutes until I'm all sorted. Had a call from said bank saying reimbursements should be made shortly. However have spoken to a few people at work who bank with the same bank and they have had similar probs over the weekend.... So it could be a computer issue. Going to call car insurance company to attempt to get a partial refund later.0
