  • Hello

Finally checking in with 8 NSD. I didn't do very well with the exercise at first but am pleased to say I've done a total of two hours this week split into 3 workouts and I'm actually excited at the prospect of doing some tonight. Really does lift my mood. I've been following Davina DVDS and downloaded an app on my phone.

I've resisted all urges for buying extra gifts and I did go out and get my daughters bday presents but got major bargains so thats a fair bit saved in the budget. Looking forward to a treat Sunday when we're going to take her to the cinema and for some food.

I'm possibly over on my food budget so far but I've got so much in the freezer I shouldn't have to spend as much, fingers crossed it will balance.

De lurking to join the cheerleading squad in preparation for joining you all next month. I am impressed by your determination and I am hoping some of it will rub off on me:)

I have about £13k to save in order to settle my secured loan by the end of the year and may pinch Kerfuffle's idea of 11.12.13 as a target date.

Good luck with your goals and I will be cheering on from the sidelines:T
I'm lurking too at the moment....but will join properly in January and I am feeling positive and looking forward to the challenge!
  • Hello! I'm far too late to join, so I'll be a cheerleader too! NSK, I was so inspired by your huge amounts of £ that you've thrown at your debt, that I've decided to take on some extra work (temporarily). I didn't think it was worth it before (ie. I need relaxation time etc), but your post and the people who responded to it changed my view a little bit! It won't be an ongoing thing, but every little helps!!

I hope you enjoy your party and good luck to everyone on here! Not long til December payday!! x

Hi Oompa Loompa, Welcome, I'm lurking too ATM, and will be joining properly in January. I', hoping to have cleared my Debts by June 2014, so we are on a similar journey!

NSD number 8 today as the big boss is paying part of our works lunch from todayand I only need to part with my money once we know what everybody is due (prob less than a fiver). Lunch again tomorrow with my old boss (better keep a foot in the door never know eh, plus we're kinda pals anyway). But that should only be a fiver too.

I'm trying to have a NSD, but the people I bought our xmas tree from on Am4zon are trying to throw a spanner in the works :( I've just had to throw the Sale of Goods Act book at them telling them that faulty items they have to pay me the return postage for. Am I right about this? I thought it was only change of mind you paid postage, faulty they have to put you back into the position you were in before?!

I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
i have really fallen off the wagon big time.

Positives: i know WHY and HOW i fell off, and also know that i CAN get back on
Negatives: I have spent waaaay too much money on food.

Everything goes according to plan, when i sit down on Sunday evenings and write everything on my weekly planner. This way, i remember everything i need to, remember when DDs and SOs are due to leave my bank account, and dont need to buy extra food during the week as i have already meal planned.

For the past week, i havent done any of those things :( and as a result, i have spent money i dont have (mainly on food). Everyday has been a SD, as i havent been able to come up with any ideas for dinners :(

So, there, i have confessed. This has all been due to the fact that i am LAZY. On Sunday evening, i couldnt be bothered to write everything down, write it on my planner, or meal plan...KNOWING that this is what happends when i dont. GRRRRR!

So, i get my TCs tomorrow, and will be sitting down tonight to write a meal plan for the week, including the Christmas food shop, and next week WILL be better!!

Advice regarding this appears in this weeks email.

I read it yesterday and if I remember correctly under the 7 day buying on line rule that if you change your mind they only have to refund the shipping costs to you, not your return costs.

If the item is faulty ( and this is the bit I can't quite remember) I would expect them to do a complete refund of the item and the costs of shipping to you, plus the cost of you returning the item to them.

Knowing the WHY and HOW is half the battle won as you recognise the holes in the net that you're slipping through.

Pick yourself up, dust yourself down and jump back on. It's all a learning curve and there's no quick fixes.

Somedays I can spend ages surfing this site looking for inspriation about how good everybody is and how they've cooked from scratch and saved pounds, then I'll go get a take-out 'cos I've run out of time and can't be bothered :rotfl:It is what it is :D

You are correct, faulty goods should have their return postage paid.
