Blimey O'Riley.....I've updated my signature with total debt that needs to be cleared....quite sobering to see it all written down in one place! And hopefully seeing it written down will keep me focussed.

O% cards can have minimum payments for the time being whilst I concentrate on the Overdraft and B-Card 1. If I am really really careful and follow the rules and work as much overtime as is available I am hoping to clear £400 a month from the Overdraft........let's hope so.

Hi all, brrr is chilly out! Hope you are ok and hugs to those having a tough time.

Today is a NSD so that is 6 in total yay!

Yesterday wasn't though. I needed bread to go with soup for lunch and ended up buying a filled roll -a bit cross with myself for that and then later I posted an ebay parcel at the post office in the co op and bought some reduced foodie stuff and mince pies totalling £12 something. Had I not bought the roll, I may have resisted but in for a penny - bah. Got reduced garlic bread, potato salad and quiche which we had for tea last night and sausages for tonight and spring rolls in freezer.

    Off to update my totals.

I noticed your weight loss in your signature, well done!:D
I've included it in mine too.......I'm starting to see my debt busting in the same way as my weight loss, it's not exactly fun, but it needs to be done!
How did you manage to lose the weight?
  • Oooh Hello Marylea... You have a hefty amount there to shift.. nowt we can't handle though eh? Another cheerleader is always welcome...

  • Hi folks ,

Has been ages...I noticed my last thread from over a week ago had not registered. Well, never mind, just tell you what I have been up to lately...I went away for a short break and got stuck at the airport due to the weather and spent the money I hadn't planned to spend . At least I had the budget for it :(.
There are so many threads to catch up with now that I basically don't have enough time to read (sorry everyone), but I am hoping everybody is coping well with DDD or other challenges they have chosen.
    So upwards and onwards :T

  • I wish to inform all those present that its my work do today.. and I shall be vacating the orifice very shortly...:rotfl:

I shan't be spending much (under £10) and shan't be staying out long. Fake hair attached, excessive make-up slapped on, festive red dress hanging in the loos...

I am pure class me!! :rotfl:

    (NSD last night though )..

  • Took the plunge and reduced my overdraft limit to £4000!....I've clawed back some money owed, withdrawn my latest e-bay sales from Paypal and rather than have a 'buffer' in my current account which I am BOUND to use, decided to reduce the limit!

    :TFeeling slightly smug with myself!:T

De lurking to join the cheerleading squad in preparation for joining you all next month. I am impressed by your determination and I am hoping some of it will rub off on me:)

I have about £13k to save in order to settle my secured loan by the end of the year and may pinch Kerfuffle's idea of 11.12.13 as a target date.

Good luck with your goals and I will be cheering on from the sidelines:T
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75
  • Hello! I'm far too late to join, so I'll be a cheerleader too! NSK, I was so inspired by your huge amounts of £ that you've thrown at your debt, that I've decided to take on some extra work (temporarily). I didn't think it was worth it before (ie. I need relaxation time etc), but your post and the people who responded to it changed my view a little bit! It won't be an ongoing thing, but every little helps!!

I hope you enjoy your party and good luck to everyone on here! Not long til December payday!! x
