Hi All
Maryland - thanks and well done on your weight loss too. I have been going to slimming world and it has really kept me on track. I haven't really lost much since October a pound or two on and a pound or two off but if I can come out the other side of Xmas much the same I will be happy. People have started bringing naughty things into work in the run up to Xmas so will just be good when I can. I have been eBaying my big clothes so I have to keep it off!
I will start again properly in the new year and am planning an alcohol free January which will be a big help. Also intend to have a few treats over Xmas though
Ooh tea time, will try to pop back later to catch up a bit more x'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain'0 -
Evening all. Sorry I have been AWOL but my parents have been visiting in advance of Christmas and chaos has reigned. They left today and the place is still a tip. We have a boiler man coming tomorrow to entirely take the boiler off the wall to fit a new part & then hopefully we should have hot water woop! But, the place is still a mess & I cannot make myself sort it out. It may be a case of dumping it all into the bedroom where he can't see... hahaha!
I would clean up in the morning (and probably will a bit) but I have to get ready for my works Christmas lunch. This involves showering & washing my hair which is thick enough to cover several heads... I then have to dry and straighten it, also an epic task. I panic unless I am ready wayyyyyy in advance so will need to be ready by 11am so that I can relax. Plus side, it is ALL paid for by work, including drinks, so I am looking at another NSD.
Monday, Tuesday & Weds were terrible spend days... Food shopping, present buying & I bought two dresses. One for said xmas do, the other for the xmas do with the girls next week. In my defence, 2 dresses and a pair of control tights came to £41.49 but I still feel sick. I have NO clothes that fit me, as I have either been 2 dress sizes bigger than I am now or pregnant for any other parties I have been to over the last few years so it had to be done. Ah well, it came out of my overtime/ebay money so I shouldn't be too hard on myself.
GOOD things:
-Got to pay out on Maximiles, so £10 ASDA voucher should be here just in time for the Christmas shop.
-NSD number 9 today
-Parents chipped in to last nights dinner bill so all it cost me was some rice and black eyed beans/kidney beans & tomatoes from the cupboard. They also paid for fish & chips the night before so our 1 takeaway a month is catered forhaha!
-Christmas shopping complete bar a small jokey gift for my friend, plus another baby present for her son as she turned up with armfuls.
-Leftover chilli eaten with jacket spuds and cheese tonightcheap dinner indeed
-Handed over some more tins of food for the foodbank my friends mum is helping out on
-GOT TEA FOR A HOMELESS CHAPhe was lovely too. I wandered off my usual route when wandering town & got chattering. Grateful for the fact that I got to come home and stick the heating on. Poor bloke.
- Exercisewise.. I'm not doing as much as I should but will be making up for it big time in the next week or so.
I'm off to sleep, early I know but it was a bad night with the baby last night & I am shattered!
Night all!!!

Wowzers look at you all go! I am home, washed, fed and about to dry my hair and hit the hay! £12.15 spent - only £2.15 extra for an elderflower drink. Couldn't avoid it really as I didnt want any one else paying for me - however I budgeted £25 so saved a LOT!
I have to sleep as my body is shutting down on me already..a MASSIVE welcome to Oompa Loompa and Xspender..its great to have you on board and the more lurkers the better!
I shall be updating further and commenting for you tomorrow but MaryLea well done on reducing the overdraft!!!
May everyone have a lovely sleep - even those getting up to an entirely free work lunch...:T..
Now where's hot-water-cat..

Hi all
Quick update from me:
- £2.40 spent yesterday on hot chocolate and a coffee but that was it for non essentials. Grocery bill tho too. Have to feed the kids I guess!!
- £25 today on a call out charge as my WM is giving up. But may have up to 6 months left the guys said so won't be rushing to replace it if I can cope with the horrendous noise. May just run it in to the ground.
- no progress on exercise today or yesterday but have high hopes for tomorrow! Also keeping to overall budget ( even with presents!!) which allows me some big payments against debt and I LOVE making PADs and transferring all my rounding down pennies and pounds across to the cards so am getting optimistic:T the "rounding game" is more addictive than I would have ever believed possible
So feeling pretty focussed. NSDs are hard but LSDs seem to be getting much easier. Thanks to the lovely (scary??!:rotfl:) Kat and friends!!!

Hi all,
Another NSD today so very happy about it:j. I am also very happy about the fact December is the second month in a row that I haven't spent any money at work :j; just refuse to which means I am even more organized with packed lunches/dinners (I always have been anyway, but from time to time I would buy food at work and it all adds up which is a big NO-NO). There are days when I feel lazy to cookand want to have a take away or ready meal/lunch from the work canteen:p, but after a while it makes me think that it's not the best option. So I cook from scratch and it makes me feel better in many ways:T.
I am off to bed soon as facing long hours tomorrow and Saturday as well:(. Sunday will be a well deserved day off - really looking forward to it. On the other hand it means NSDs :T.
Good night all.

I'm with SW too!.....I AM the slowest loser!.....35lb since the start of 2012..........slow but sure, although I have somehow managed to put 3 lbs on over the last 3 weeks.......and not quite sure how?....I need to keep a food diary, I'm sure that would reveal the culprit food! I've been e-baying my big clothes (and made about £200!) so there is no going back! :T
I too, plan to re-group over the festive period and start the New Year with renewed enthusiasm.0 -

Good MORNING!!!
How on earth did this not pick up my post last and disappear into the oblivion of 3rd or 4th page - NOT GOOD!
Where are you all my little chickadees! Wallowing in the wondrous knowledge of not having to get up tomorrow? Are you all off counting your pennies???
I am superbly grateful this week is OVER! I have one overtime shift on Sunday that will kill me, then covering for another department on the Monday then I am OFF TO IRELAND!
Dilemma... I need to type whilst at the airport and on the journey home.. I leave my house super early as there is nothing more frightful as missing my flight so I am one of those that arrive way too early. So I shall be bringing my little netbook, but need £10 top-up for my dongle as I am almost sure there is no such thing as free wireless at airports and those horrid little machines are £1 for 15 minutes...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Mumsy has interweb at home and the dongle will last me 1 month.. now then.. where to find ANOTHER £10...
I am bringing the bike to be repaired today.. the highest I was quoted is £128....Thus far I have...- £44 left over from Petrol for the month.
- £15 Mumsy's emergency money
- £7 leftover from work do last night although the other £5 set aside in in another bank account./..
- £14 surprise eBay money...
- £40 possible from another eBay fee...

Do you NEED to type...like, actual NEED? If so, you've made enough on ebay to justify it. If not, wait until you get there and get back!
