December Debt Destruction!!!

Ooh, thanks ladies. I think the "shapes bums" and "flattens tummies" is enough to make me part with £6 :rotfl: I'll be in London on Friday so I'll have a mooch into M+S and TK Maxx to see what I can see.
Abundant, I've learned to look at things as just stuff. I'm still me whether I have 10 pairs of shoes or just one, whether I live in a big house or a bedsit. Nice stuff won't change me and won't make me feel better. I know what you mean about seeing other people having lots that you don't, but the wise DDDers are right, focus on what you do have and where you're going. You'll still be you at the other end of this journey so make sure you like being you :A0 -
and i thought this was you Abundant lol..
7 NSDs for me just now.
Need to update my food budget as think i have lost trackbut sure i am still a way off going over but been seduced by fancy dressings and oils at work
Met friends for lunch no food and had a lime and soda water for the grand total of 30p
and had spam and chips for tea from the chippy
Well tomorrows another day and i only go to the chippy once every few months...... so fix over for now:rotfl:
Cellothane came today so can finally make up the pots of gold, other pressies wrapped and sorted so all set to go on the xmas front
May have to buy a lotto ticket tomorrow though as cant resist on 12.12.12Updating .................................................

I Quit for December! I cant do it anymore, I will look at rejoining in Januarys challenge. I will follow the thread and cheer people on.
Now to explain....
Friday I had works christmas party, food was all good, service was dreadful - our entire party got over charged and it cost me about £20 more than planned - was meant to be a NSD.
Saturday - Had to get new lights for the car as i skidded on black ice and hit a lampost - also meant to be a NSD
Sunday went to Asda to get food and fill up. We had took £30 out for food and I was going to pay for a full tank of fuel on my card (budgeted) - got the food, filled the car with full tank of petrol( £53.17) , my card declined (meant to be £300 in), as did girlfriends(£250), as did savings account (£1400) - all declined. Now at this point well and truly screwed.
No money left till payday in a few weeks - a full tank of fuel in the car (unpaid for).
So you can see I have a dilemma - I can eat for 4 days. But after which I have no money. Our accounts have been cleared out, total loss of money £1950 + the fuel tank that will need to be paid back - we are probably going to miss the boat on our rent too. This is all being investigated.
Me and OH are totally gutted.
Please can I leave Kat and "cheerlead" for December, may have to borrow money from the parents to stay afloat - as dont want to touch the CC as this will just put us in more trouble. Head appears to be falling below water now :(
On a positive note... I passed the police specials fitness test last night next step medical in January.
Sorry for the long post.0 -
Manc..that's simply sh@te. Very sorry to hear that.
I will also be here in January if the lovely Kat runs a new challenge so see you there!MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Tights..I tend to go M&S or Boots...latter I use my Advantage points so usually free. Probably think M&S are better quality though but as I am what is probably termed a 'heavy user':rotfl: ( I snag them and get holes in them a lot) I don't tend to need them to last hundreds of washes.
If you want to push that boat out ( maybe ask for Xmas as its hardly DDD) go for Wolford....aah those were the days ( and why no doubt I have CC bills) They were a delight to wear
No NSD as groceries bought for £30:o mainly unauthorised but as the childcarer went shopping for me and thought she was being helpful ( which of course she was) I cannot and will not complain. It will all get used and most was bargains eg. Basic cheese and yogurts. 3 for 2 fruit juice. Then spent £7.50 at event my kids were performing at.
So minimal compared to 'normal' life!!made lots of PADs too which is always lovely. Also did 20 minutes of fast walking in the very chilly fog we have here
Great to hear about everyone's doings

Wowsers.... my phone has been out of range whilst on route to the cinema and I got home late so apologies for ignoring all these posts for so long...
Right..anyone wanting to join in January - not a problem. However lets focus entirely on December...GelMC thank you for the name suggestions though you loon...:T..MaryLea stay and cheerlead - you got the NSK approved mindset...:rotfl:
MancMan - if you want to leave my love you can. But please hang around and keep us updated with what is happening... this is a horrific situation to be in! Are you able to sit and calculate where all the funds have gone or do you think it might have been an issue with the banks etc?.. How can your savings be gone? Is your daily banking, loans, savings and CC with the same bank..? Some are known to take savings to fill in loans etc without asking?..A possible?.. I really hope this is figured out for you tomorrow I am almost feeling sick for you...
Work do's are a nightmare.. I have mine on Thursday and intend to leave pretty early..Car issues?.. £128 for my bike repairs so I entirely empathise here...just when I don't have money put aside for it!!.. I just don't know what to say.. Keep me posted please...inbox if you want!!
Abundant - any chance your sister and brother aren't telling you the whole story on their lovely houses and how much they are costing? Yes you are right about a roof over your head.. however I know how depressing it can be..I am nearly 30 and spending my evenings with a hyperactive tabby who loves a game of fetch with a rolled up piece of paper in someone else's house... I hate it but it makes me even more determined... Grr!!
Siouxsie - M&S get my vote...thick too which is even better!!
Nanell that is some serious "Wildcard" pennies. Its technically to be spent the day you receive it..so we can compromise..if you promise not to go over £15-£20 you can use it...?
I am however declaring an NSD, sold a item on eBay for £10 and sending that off tomorrow...
I need to sleep now...Chickadees wherever you lay your head tonight remember things get better..My mum was supplementing my living for 4 months in Jan/Feb/Mar/April...things get better. Living in a very basic manner is not a bad thing... Hugs to you all..proer hugs too not awkward ones...:)
Onwards and Upwards - there is light at the end of the tunnel!!

Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -

Kat- It's looking more and more like fraud to be honest. All accounts with One bank. except for c/c. None of the accounts are linked in any way. And we're all safely in the black was just the cc in the red. We did use each card at an ATM in quick succession the other day so wonder if the cards had been cloned. Especially as there appear to be transactions in 3/4 different time zones across the globe at the same time.
Thanks for granting a bail out pass and to everybody for the support.

Manc how terrible. Hope the bank can find your money and you get fully refunded.
NSD 8 yesterday. Hoping to hit 9 today but realistically don't think its hoping to happen. Need washing up liquid and coffee and don't think i am strong enough to decaff myself.
Not being very organised this month. Lots going on and its taxing my tiny brain. Next month will be better! L2B.x
