Early 2006 I sent the standard letter to my bank to reclaim charges for £1200 which has been acknowledged, but claims are on hold at present as we all know. However, I have accumulated another £1030 in charges to date. I'm now on the straight & narrow with my bank and don't forsee any further bank charges. I assume I will have to put in aa second claim with another standard letter for £1030 ???
thanks . Lisnamallard0 -
Has anyone claimed once, signed something and managed to claim again?
I claimed back in September 2006 and got some money back, and Im nearly 99% sure i signed something, possibly saying i agree to their charges (?). Has anyone else done this and managed to claim again?
I have nearly £700 worth of charges and wanted to know if i could claim back, or possibly ask them to refund some of it as i was made redundant etc.?
Thanks

Hi
I claimed back some bank charges successfully in june this year, I have just checked my current account and i went over drawn over the xmas period ( i stuck my head back in the sand for a couple of months instead of dealing with my money issues) anyway, HSBC are charging my £100! is there any way i can put another claim in? i'm really worried that this amount will tip me over drawn again, would it be worth approaching the bank and asking if they will waiver this?0 -
Advice needed please!! In June or July last year I successfully reclaimed bank charges from RBS, and moved my account to Alliance & Leicester. Like another poster on this forum I have a loan with RBS, and was told categorically that the repayments had to come from my RBS account, despite my salary and everything else (except tax credits and nursery fees) happening in my A&L account.
Loan payments are meant to come out of the RBS account on the 2nd of the month, so of course my payday payments into the RBS account never made it in time. I wrote to them explaining the situation and asked them to move the payment date back by a few days but got no response. Anyway, as a result of them trying to take the loan when there was no money in the account they charged me £38 a time for the privelege, which would then get covered by my weekly tax credit payment, which would then leave not enough money for nursery fees, which would then lead to a £38 charge for unpaid standing order . . . Do you get the picture?!?! It's turned into a huge vicious circle. I have recently moved my tax credit payments and nursery SO to A&L t try and break the cycle. I am also now on a DMP, so I'm not worrying about the loan payments.
The question is; can I reclaim my bank charges again?????LBM: 14.01.08 - Debt at 25.04.08: £7420.925.06.10: 3200.00 :T I'm over half way there!!! :j

I too have claimed, before,in 2006 and cannot remember what I signed and stupidly didnt get a photocopy of the letter either, If I emailed the solictor involved at the time would they be able to send me a copy or would there be another way of finding out what I signed, My new claim would only be for 60.00 but as Mr Tesco says 'every little helps'?
Thankyou.I miss my mum every minute of every dayR.I.P xx

Hi
I was just wondering if it would be ok to Reclaim Bank Charges again after having successfully reclaimed before?
Im with Capital One who eventually refunded my Over Limit & Late Payment Charges. My account went down to zero but I needed to go back into it as I needed it to pay for the food shopping & a bill but I made sure that I didnt go over the £200 limit but because I didnt pay the £5 minimum payment they have now started to charge me again of £12 Over Limit & £12 Late Payment Charges.
I know I shouldnt have really gone back into spending it,I should have just closed the account but I needed it to pay for the shopping & a bill as I had nothing else.
They have sent me a letter to say that if I dont pay it within the set time limit they will Eg:Close my account,Will have to pay the whole balance,Notify credit Agencies,Sell account to a Debt Collection Agency etc etc.
They are saying that I have breached my Capital One Credit Agreement by going over my credit limit as described in clause 4 of the agreement & giving me a time limit to pay etc etc...
Im over my limit by £88.54 which they are asking me to pay by 8th Feb or they will carry out the above.
The thing is about £80 of this is the Charges they have applied.
What shall I do? Should I pay it then claim it back? If I pay it its going to be coming out of my Incapacity Benefit in which I get £122 every 2 weeks.
Any Advice/Answers would be much appreciated,Thank you.0 -

Please Help!
In Jul last year I claimed just over £900 from HSBC. Since claiming they have increased my charges to £150 per month!
Is it possible to claim from them again? Has anybody else experience extortionate charges like this?
Thanks0 -
Hi, I reclaimed my bank charges last year (thank you for all the instructions on how to do that Martin, it really helped my family)and then made a slight calculation error. Now the Halifax has billed me £62 for going over my overdraft by £9.40. I phoned them and asked them to take the charges of my account and they told me, that because I have already reclaimed charges in this financial year I will not be able to reclaim the one that is due to come out at the end of this month. What can I do? I'm in full time education and don't have a job hence no money to pay the charge.0
