Claimed & Won.... now need to claim again..

Hi Guys,
In september i claimed for £780 worth of charges. I accepted the offer of £590 back.
I havebeen charged £400 over the past few months and started the claiming process again...
I sent my Prelim letter and received a response which was something like...
"We cannot reverse any charges as we gave you some back last year as a gesture of goodwill. We will keep your file open for 8 weeks if we hear nothing then we wil close it.. la la la blah"
So what do i do? If i take it to the LBA stage and end up in court with it will i get told i should have been more careful? ?
Really don't know what to do... help would be greatly thanked!Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping !!0 -
I claimed 1 year's bank charges and received offers of which I accepted. I have now learnt that I could have claimed for up to 6 years! Can I still claim for the other 5 years?
Also can I claim bank charges on a closed bank account?0 -
I'm pretty sure the answer to your first question is yes, you should be able to claim this money back.
You can definately claim back charges on a closed account as long as the charges fall within the 6 year qualifying period.0 -
Thanks! I thought so, just needed a second opinion - well I'll start sifting out those old bank statements.......................0

Currently in the process of writing the second letter (before action) and was wondering what happens if the claim is successful in regards to future charges.
When you sign the letter accepting payment from the bank, do they word it so you can not claim a second time.
As they never accept liability, i take it you sign accepting you are at fault and they are only giving you the money as a goodwill gesture.
So is it possible to claim twice if you still continue to be charged rip off costs??0 -

When you sign to accept any offer they make, check to make sure there are no conditions attached. If you reclaim any future charges, the chances of your account being closed increase. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Exactly the point that has been made over and over again - some people are too stupid to learn from past mistakes and didn't deserve the refund in the first place - but hey let's all jump on the bandwagon and balls it up for those of us that take more care with their finances!!

Yes you have to start a new claim but be aware the bank will most likely close your account or withdraw the overdraft.0
