Surely the OP is at the wind up?
I can't for a minute believe anyone would think they can order 2 top end phones and just ignore the requests for monthly bills without any come back.
Sorry I just don't buy the OP.0 -

I'm not convinced either. OPs other posts suggest someone who is technically very savvy with technical aspects of tablets and mobiles - seems a bit at odds with the extreme naivety of her post here.
Though why anyone would make this up as a wind up is a bit of a mystery. Unless she is just VERY weird...0 -

Not checking someone's previous posts ???? Careful! There's a contributor here who might describe that as stalking !!!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Must admit I did think that, but then some people really ARE that stupid...0 -
Quite possible to be extremely tech-savvy, yet without an iota of common sense. As appears to be the case here.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

I did wonder about the legit-ness of this thread, but then I found a possible contender on ebay, and if it were that one, then two iphones may not be the only one.
Either way, I really hope something comes of it, and I feel so sorry for the ebayers themselves, I hope they get auto refunded by paypal, or follow through some other way.0 -
So what exactly did you think was going to happen to the phones when you stopped paying the contract fees?
You were quite within your rights to sell the handsets, but the networks are within their right to IMEI block it once you stop paying the contract fees-and to default your credit file after you ignored their requests for payment.
ebay will justifiably terminate your account if you don't refund the buyers.
Your friend is an idiot, don't take any other 'useful' advice from him.
I am a bit puzzled about how OP could have the right to sell the handsets on. Why would someone be able to sell handsets on if they only had them as part of a contract?0 -
With a mobile contract you own the handset from day one-it's not leased. So you can do whatever you want with it. The airtime contract is a separate contract. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

You don't receive an invoice for the phone with a price against it unless you have paid an amount for a contribution towards the cost of the phoneIt's not just about the money0 -
It's because when you take out a contract the phones are always given as a free gift as an incentive for taking out the contract.

OK, I have a more basic phone on contract but always assumed that part of my monthly payment was to pay off the actual cost of the phone. So OP could have legally sold the phones on provided that the monthly payments were being made but I can't see any point in selling the phone in that way.0
