It's threads like this that really brighten up my day. Thank you OP :T0

I'm not much of an ebayer so not an expert, but won't Paypal become involved into this too as she said she used ebay for making money etc. ???
I'm no ebay expert, but for £500 a pop I'm sure the buyer's used paypal. Paypal will refund them (providing they return tracked etc) and the OP will have a 1K debt with ebay or paypal. Along with the phone company debt and any other's she has.0 -

I would also assume the two customers paid by CC in which case it adds a couple of credit card companies to the mix
So we've got 2 customers, 2 CC companies, Paypal, Ebay, the network and possibly a 3rd party vendor all victims of the fraud.
I would think at least one of them would be involving the Police and a prosecution looming ???It's not just about the money0 -
The OP has confessed to her crime on a public forum.
Any member of the general public can sent a link to crimestoppers.
The vodafone rep is also on this forum.
The police probably have software to automatically detect crime-related internet discussions.
Mobile phone fraud departments may well have similar software.
Police involvement seems certain and the confession will make it easy to get a conviction.
Stupid criminals make it so easy for the police. I seem to remember that during the riots, some people posted pictures of themselves with their stolen goods on Facebook.
Vodafone will probably want to press charges to make an example of her.0 -
I think it's actually EE as she mentions 4G new tariffs etc, and would be locked to them.
I would imagine the buyers phoned up EE and asked why it wasn't working, and were told its blocked.0 -
I mentioned Vodafone purely as an example.
The network has IMEI blocked it and marked her credit file. All this must have resulted from her ceasing her DD several months ago. I think that if they thought there was any point in pursuing criminal charges, they would have involved the police by now. If she'd blagged 10 handsets, they would. 2, no.
The networks just pass the losses on down to the rest of us as usual..No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

It's because of idiots like this that I would never buy a phone (or other technology) from Ebay.
I think she deserves to be prosecuted. she has in effect stolen from the people who bought the phones from her. London rioters who stole 1 small item were prosecuted and this seems to be at least as serious.0 -
Would hate to be in the OP shoes right now0

I actually agree with your sentiment - I hope the OP does feel the full force of the law. Not that I'm unsympathetic to her predicament, but people can't just go around stealing/commiting fraud/selling stolen goods, etc... I feel sorry for the poor sods on eBay who paid a lot for a useless phone and now look as though they won't get their cash back.
Fair enough0 -
I am shocked at what the OP has done. Its dishonest people like her who give the site a bad name.
I hope she gets prosecuted and gets a custodial sentence, she deserves it.0
