Morning all! Warm and sunny here, so must get to garden and sow the last of seedlings, they are going wherever I find a bare spot, no matter what OH thinks of putting cabbage and kohlrabi in flower beds!

Second load in WM, only another four to go...mountain of ironing must be done today. Dinner sorted as pork steaks donated by brother were cooked last night...some to go to freezer and balance tonight with HM roasties and yet more broccoli and spinach; maybe dessert of rhubarb sponge if I am in the humour, even if I am the only one to eat it!

    Hugs to all in need,

    Marie

  • Afternoon Guys!

Still not feeling good, but a little better than yesterday.

WM has been on, DW is on ATM and toilet is clean. House is generally clean and tidy and have cleaner here tomorrow, so not too worried.

I am concentrating on resting up as my energy levels have sunk:o

OH is hopefully finishing the kitchen today....it seems to have taken ages but it does look nice and it has had to be done in fits and starts with me not being so well and family problems. Once done I will post a picture.

Anyway, will pop back on later with hopefully a little more energy.

    Breakie: Bubble
Lunch: Chicken Broth and French Stick
Dinner: Baked Spuds, Ham and salad

    Hugs

Hiya, just a quickie, I've just got in and my mum's dropping round in a mo. Hope everyone's ok. As you can see I've lost my formatting again lol. Master tru is on antibiotics and painkillers, he also had another go at the OS thing (which I don't think I'm allowed to post the link - it might come under the 'no medical advice on here' rule - but if you go to the tipking site and search for 'tooth abcess' you'll find it). The OS thing drew the poison out to just under the skin - it's everywhere, there's tons of it. He's in less pain now, hasn't eaten anything and is starving! He's going back to the dentist on friday morning, one of his teeth is dead. Because it's right at the front, the dentist said it'll be a shame to pull it out so he's going to split the tooth from the back, give it a good clean out and fill it. Ooooh there's the doorbell, catch ya later.

    Morning/Afternoon!

Didnt sleep well AT all last night.. waking up every half an hour etc.... so somehow once 8am come and i was trying to get up... i fell back and sleep soundly and slept through till 11am !!!! This is not good as it seems to be happening most days lately and im back at work tomorrow for first time in about 4 weeks! SO worried im gonna oversleep and miss work.

Anyway.. went downstairs to find 2 more small dead mice caught in traps! one in the living room one in the kitchen... Here was me thinking/hoping i only had A mouse! :o They have to stay there too till tonight when my dad can call in on his way home from work :( THIS is why i miss having an OH, i wouldnt have to rely on dad then :o Before i went to bed another trap had its bait stolen without the trap going off :rotfl: Dunno if im relieved there wasnt another dead one to deal with.. or annoyed that theres another - very clever one - running about!!

Anyway, going to go out and pop to Home and Bargain to get few bits for my packed lunches for work. Being lazy and very UN-Jamie-Oliver-friendly. But its my first week back so want something quick, sugary and comfort foody! :o

Need to find a pair of work shoes aswell..... RUINED my work shoes that id had for over a year and been in really good shape.. in the space of 2 months at this new job!! No point in buying expensive ones (£20+ for me is expensive) as they just get ruined.... so need to find a cheap shop. Problem is.. i cant even afford cheap! :o But ive snapped the sole off the ones i was wearing so have no choice but to spend money i dont have on a new pair..

Scouts is back on tonight but dont know if i wanna go, they had a planning meeting without me last week and have no included me at all in any activities except playing games on the odd weeks with the kids. Hardly seems worth me turning up because i just sit in the corner thinking how ive travelled all this way just to sit here!

Anyway must go and brave facing the body in the kitchen... to make myself a cuppa and something to eat.

So glad Master Tru's had treatment. Tell him 'well done' -  it can't have been much fun for him! At least he's now on antibiotics and, as they've drained it, it should start clearing up pretty quickly! :A :A :T :T :j :j

:T :T :T Well the chap is here unblocking the sink, it appears to be blocked from below the trap right round to where it goes into the internal waste system........a piece with 2 bends in it and about 15 foot of pipe involved, if he cannot unblock it we will have to have it all ripped out, which will involve taking the kitchen cuboards out as the pipes run behind the cupboards, oh joy!!!!! it appears to be solidified fat and paint, must have been building up for years.

Since I lived in Hampshire on a cess pit we have never put fat down the sink,:D :D I keep a jam jar on the window cill and empty fat into it and then when the jar is full, put the lid on and it goes in the dustbin. I do save pork dripping and occasionally some lamb fat for stovies, that gets poured into a dish in the fridge.

The smell is not too pleasant either. Up date there has just been a rush of water and a shout from the kitchen, so I guess he has managed to unblock it, will be off to Tesco for more washing soda, I am going to pour WS and boiling water down it a couple of times a day.........for the next few days.

Off to make the poor bloke a cup of tea...................and burn a candle in the kitchen to get rid of the smell.........:D  :D

    Hi everyone!
Hugs to those who need them. Many grovels but haven't yet had time to read the thread but have been ahem shopping!! I've looked at the budget and I know I need some more summer shoes having eeked out a few elderly pairs last year. Full price Clarks are out the question at the mo but following a tip from one of the students [and a fellow charity shop lover and a convert to weetabix cake!] have been done to Cancer Research and have bought three pairs of gorgeous beaded flipflops [not rubber ones but solid ones] for £2.50 a pair. May be worth a look......
OS today has been washing floors, making beds and hanging out a dark load in the garden. OH is making chicken and apple in smoky bacon and apple sauce with noodles for tea. I've got my Mum coming over tonight for a crafty evening and a chance to catch up over a natter!
