Good Morning All
Have a lovely Birthday Hillstep2000
(((hugs))) where needed
Looks like might be a nice day here today. Am just enjoying the last minutes of peace and quiet before DD gets up. Been on bank to check client has paid me which they have so now can get on with some things around the house.
Firstly - load wm and empty dw, need to make lunches and tidy kitchen. Main job of the day will be washing and changing bedding. This morning will also iron yesterdays washing so can keep on top and hopefully only have the minimum to do at the weekend. Would also like to have at least an hour in the office today also.
Think might try and see if I can drive now - it will be lovely going out on my own again.
Right best be off, I also need to get something out of the freezer for dinner, meal planning will hopefully be back next week especially as I have decided to start Slimmers World on Monday. Oh forgot to mention builder is here today hopefully finishing the kitchen.
Have a great day.0 -
Morning all
Looks like the sun will be out soon - I listened to the weather forecast yesterday when they said it would be frosty overnight, so rushed down to the allotment and covered up all my little babies, I think the other allotmenteers thought I was mad :rotfl: of course, it wasn't frosty, so they were right
Anyway, work today, but I am lucky to love my job, so don't mind going.
Easy tea tonight, steam puddings for OH which I will put into the steamer, and jacket potato and an unhealthy filling for me.
Catowen, hope you feel better soon, and Amanda, don't worry, you know how independent cats are, I'm sure she will turn up soon, looking superior with a knowing smile
:grouphug: to anyone feeling down xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Morning all :hello:
It must be a good day, I can actually get the smilies to work:rolleyes:
Master tru came home at about 10 last night, saying 'I TOLD you I wouldn't be long'. I said 'no you didn't, you just stormed out in temper'
'No I didn't'
'Yes you did'
Repeat the above 8 times
His face is swollen this morning and he can hardly talk, he's lost his clove oil, he's taken 2 more tablets (Paramol - paracetamol and dihydrocodeine (??? never heard of it) recommended by the pharmacist). Still in agony though, oh well he'll be in the dentist's chair in 2 hours.
I'll catch up properly later, see you at lunchtimeBulletproof0 -
Happy Birthday hillstep200, and morning to everyone!!
Sun is shining again here, so plan to wash some bedding today and put away the winter throws that i have on the beds.
Have lots of ironing to do, and need to attempt to fit my new smartbox to the pc, this will allow me to make free phone calls over the net, but looking at the instructions this could take me days to get it working!!! LOL.
Dinner tonight is good old, HM burger and hm chips with lots of garlic mayo.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all! Cloudy but bright here this morning.
Happy Birthday Hilstep2000! What a lovely present from your partner.
Hugs to all, especially those not feeling well :grouphug:
Got the upstairs and bathrooms cleaned and polished yesterday so I've pretty much whipped through the whole house, not that any of it has been done to Flylady's exacting standards, I'm sure :rotfl: Got DS20's room tidied and cleaned and his bed changed now that he's been packed safely back to uni for another term.
Today I have my usual shopping trip (found that I'd forgotten to add today to my meal plan:eek: so hastily added mince to my list for a quick chilli :rotfl: ), then I have college at 11, and am meeting a friend for lunch. So busy, busy.
Had better go and jump in the (sparkly) shower and get going.
Have a good day everyone
Breakfast: crumpets with marmite
Lunch: probably a sandwich and coffee in town
Dinner: chilli (now that I've remembered it!!)

Good morning everyone! Thank you so much for the Birthday Wishes for Miss Penguin yesterday. We had Victoria sponge and candles when she got in from dancing. She then opened her post and finished her day with a £50 win on her Premium Bonds.
We'll spend it on a treat for them when we take them to London at the weekend.
Off to w*** again today (last one this week), and a nice drive over the wolds for my advice session this afternoon. There's a chance that I'll be in court with a client next week, so need to sort that today.
Making sausage and bean casserole for tea. The beans have been soaking overnight, and have some lovely garlicky sausages from the farm shop. DS is back to scouts later, so back into our routine.
Happy Birthday to Hilstep
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Good morning All
Well what an exciting night - I responded to an ad from freecycle. Lady was throwing out 2 refuse sacks full of high street clothes, some used some brand new with tags. Majority of them being my size :T and from places like Next, H&M, Monsoon, New Look, Top Shop, etc. They are in piles now ready to be washed (WM working over time at the mo) (at least 5 loads to do) I can honestly say, there may be about 1/2 a dozen items unsuitable for me, which I can pass on, but now Ive got some brilliant new(ish) clothes
tru - I hope MR or master Tru toothache is better and that Mr Tru has made up with master tru
Anniebooklover - Im so honest with my kids, like yourself - when they ask - I answer!
I will see how "things" go with DS and this girl, I think they just like hanging about with each other. I know when I was his age, I used to love hanging with the boys (mind you Im 34 and still like it now - lol) No serious - I dont think any harm will come out of this situation, but at least Im aware! Thankyou!
Off to read the thread, Im so late this morning. BUt will catch up before work hopefully, if not, see you all later
Havea nice day

Hi all - last post was rushed because OH got up early so I had to do the domestic bit and finish the post when he went up for his shower.
I seem to have missed a lot already and it's only 8 o'clock!
Happy Birthday Hilstep:bdaycake: hope you have a brilliant day - what a lovely romantic surprise your CD must have been! :j :j
Smoky - read your last night's post - so glad school went well and that the consultant is taking special care of your OH. Good luck!:T :T
Mrs mix - good luck with your jab and hope it works really quickly!:T :T
Master Tru - I've been thinking about you. At least it's not long now until your appointment! Hope you're pain free very soon! Good Luck!:j :j
Amanda666 - hope your cat returns - my cats were always going off for jaunts but they always came back! You know what they say - you can own a dog but a cat owns you! He'll come back when he decides!:T :T

Essex-girl - hope your drive goes well - I bet you've missed it!:j :j
Pen Peng - congratulations on Miss Penguin's Premium Bond win!:T :T
Well, I have just increased my pile of ironing by digging out some summer stuff that has been packed away for the winter so it will take me even longer now! I should really be doing it right now, shouldn't I?
The weather is fantastic now - bright, sunny and warming up! WM on and breakfast cleared up, veggies ready for prepping, to-do list has a few ticks on it already! Bedrooms and bathroom done and all windows open. :T :T
Hope no more wasps -   come in - I've had quite a few this week and OH hates them so I have to dispense with them myself!
Have a couple of hours in the office today but mainly just filing and updating the diary so shouldn't be too bad.
Well, WM is nearing the end of it's cycle so had better get on with more of this lovely domesticity! See you all later, hope weather is good for everyone and have a great OS day! :j :j :jKNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:
