  • I'm weird. I'm 22 female and don't like presents! I am bit of a control freak and hate surprises. I just don't see the point with receiving gifts that I won't use and then feel bad about it.

I can't think of a single thing I want this year. I just need the basics and I'm happy.
2018 wins: Scottish weekend break, london weekend break and hotel chocolat hamper
  • I HATE Boots giftsets. I don't use body lotions, I don't use bubble bath as i shower most the time, i'd much rather have a nice shower gel from Lush (snowfairy pink one yummy!) or a face mask.

No to fragrances, cheap candles (only Partylite ones as they smell AMAZING! and my mums a rep lol so i get all the candles i need) No nik naks, my step dads mum insits on buying me something crystal every year *groans*, No jewllery (allergic to gold and costume jewlery) No Clothes, No Books (at college i read enough!) NOTHING IN LAVANDER!!!!!

Yes to Expensive shampoos and conditioners! Frizzy long hair here! Things for kitchen like roasting/serving dishes, bowls, utensils. Homemade things, as i can see the effort gone in! Tesco/Asda/Ikea vouchers are welcomed greatly. Oxford paper for college :) Anything useful or made :) Of course Chocolate and Fruit cider :D

It sounds ungrateful, but i'd much rather people didn't buy for the sake of buying. It's a waste of money as i usually just regift them or chuck in the bin, or give them to DD DS to use/break/draw on.

    I'm early 20's :P

I'm not too bothered for presents, really. Someone got me pj's once which I think is too personal. Plus I am tall and the hem was flapping around my shins. Also don't like ornaments, diaries (use my phone), candles, toiletries gift sets. Chocolate I love but not nuts and am so trying to cut down. Alcohol ditto. I like wine but rarely drink these days.

Things I would like this year:
A mini sewing machine. Only make dollies clothes for dd but they are not very durable hand stitched. Can't think of anything else...

Lush is a real love-it-or-hate-it, nothing in between! I wouldn't buy it for anyone unless I knew for a fact they loved it.

Stuff I would like: Lush goodies! Nice chocolate. Lilyflame candles. Notebooks, I get through loads of them. Anything steam train related. And something to play with, Lego or Meccano or similar!
Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.
  • I would prefer not to get non-vegan wine/ chocolates/ cookies/ toiletries/ cosmetics etc or anything wool/ silk/ leather which I won't use and will end up regifting. Hate to sound ungrateful but if someone isn't close enough to me to know the things I do/ don't use, I'd prefer they didn't get me a present. Mostly I don't have that problem though and I am lucky to have really lovely family and oh/ friends who will get me specialist chocolates, cosmetics, perfumes etc that I wouldn't normally buy as I couldn't justify spending that much on myself!
  • I have very sensitive skin, so smellies are a no-go for me! all my family know this, yet for past 8 years mil has always got me a dove giftset, cos its gentle on skin, i have given up trying to explain to her that its not gentle on my skin, and politly thank her for the gift! they always go down very well at the homeless shelter just after xmas so im happy for her to keep buying them!
i love love love polar bears, tea, & baileys, so they are very safe gifts to get me! i can predict what dh will get me this year, perfume, sexy undies, some type of polar bear related gift & a bead for my pandora bracelet! been the same for last 4 years, but he is so good at choosing perfume & undies that i never ever want him to get me anything else!!!
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.
  • When I was younger it was 'painting by numbers'.

I like to think of myself as a bit of a perfectionist, so as soon as I had slightly gone over the line, that present was done, back in the box and put on top of the other 20 painting by numbers in the loft.

Probably got enough paint now to paint the front of the house.
  • Cheap toiletries/toiletry sets.
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

    one life, live it!

I think I'm easy going presents wise. I read, draw, craft, cook, eat (too much!) and drink so anything related to that always goes down well. I love home made bits n pieces so they are usually displayed on the wall, eaten or used depending on what it is.

to avoid: clothing - usually something gorgeous which I love, but that does not fit, will not ever fit due to style and which I can't return (as I was brought up to believe that it's the thought that counts so if they don't include the receipt you don't ask for it). It is always embarrassing when one of the kids asks several weeks later "why don't you wear the top/dress/jacket we got you" - err, your aunty is fatter than your mum/gran/great gran thinks :o OH has fallen foul of this too, ordered online months in advance so can't return that one either.
