I can't think of a single thing I want this year. I just need the basics and I'm happy.
I'm 32, but otherwise this. Even as a child, I hated receiving presents.
The best thing you can buy me is nothing at all. That's what I request, please respect that.
Worst things for when you ignore me and buy something anyway...
Smellies - I have very sensitive skin, so can only use certain products.
Ornaments - Can't stand the clutter, love my bare shelves.
Wine - Have never liked the taste, but I also don't drink any alcohol.
Chocolates - Have to be dairy free which rules out most boxes.
Vouchers - Most of the time they're for stores I never shop in.
Clothes - They never fit or don't suit, just end up in the charity bin.
Books - I love reading, but I only read things once so I use the library.
And usually the ones that ignore me almost always buy one of the above!0 -

No to
Any smellies - allergic to most.
Alcohol - am teetotal.
Chocolate - don' have a sweet tooth.
Ornaments - can't stand clutter (or dusting)
Certain gift vouchers ie boots/m&s, none near me
Yes to
Photographs of the family
Time - someone to come in for one day and do all the little jobs I can't manage, like drilling holes for curtain tie-backs, putting up the roller blind in the bathroom
I really have everything I need but thousands of children die every week for lack of something so simple (to us) as clean water, so the best gift I could have is a water well/taps/pipes/purifier/anything like that, donated to somewhere that doesn't have clean water.0 -

Cheap and nasty toiletries, makeup, perfume or wine.
I'd be happier with a gift card tbh. Or nothing.
And yes, I know that makes me sound ungrateful.Illegitimi non carborundum.0 -

No to:
* Chocolates or biscuits of any sort (even Thorntons which I do love) as I am trying to lose weight and those that will be buying me Xmas presents this year are definitely aware of this. Just hope they remember!
* Calendars - I always end up with about 5 or 6...as I sit here in the office I can see 3 that were all presents last year. My OH usually gets at least 2 as well and there's only so many you want up in the house.
* Toiletries specifically for baths - I only have a shower and not a bath!
* Make up - just don't wear it and if I do on a rare night out, I have the basics I require.
* Knick knacks - just don't have the space and we are moving house at the beginning of February so don't want loads of extra things to have to wrap up!
*Gloves/Scarves - got loads and only really wear my football ones anyway.
Yes to:
* Cookbooks - both me and my OH love cooking and although you can get lots of great recipes online, I like having some nice books to follow.
* Stationary - I have just qualified as a primary school teacher so anything stationary wise will come in handy.
* Shower gels/creams. As mentioned above, only have showers and it saves quite a bit of money from the supermarket shops in January if I already have enough shower gel.
* Wine - we don't drink a lot in the house but always like a few bottles of wine around Xmas and New Year.
* I love Jack Daniels so anything Jack Daniels related goes down well.
* New board game - we love playing games especially in the winter so like anything new to try.0 -

Last year I gave my friend vouchers to have her bathroom cleaned ... by me! She HATES cleaning her bathroom!
I have a wish list on Amazon - and I am very easy to buy for!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Without sounding like a goody goody, I'm quite shocked at peoples responses to this thread It has been really interesting to read and made me think about the presents I will be buying this year.
I genuinely can't think of anything I wouldn't want to receive, I just love presents0
