    .....
OH downloaded the new House series and it has been fabulous...I love it! I have had to laugh though, that in nearly every episode if someone is dying they suggest it may be Lupus....trying to explain to a 12yr old that mummy is not going to die (just yet lol) is quite difficult:rotfl: ....Does anyone else like House? I have a consultant nearly as rude as him at Kings, but he is a fine surgeon and is rarely wrong, so I suppose they deserve some arrogance!

I LOVE House MD. Got really hooked on season 1, so bought it. Have seen some of season 2, and have already placed an order to buy season 2. I think Hugh Laurie is brilliant in this role - he has some damn good one-liners!!!!

I am also hooked on 7th Heaven at the moment. Its great to get some daytime entertainment that doesnt revolve around car chases or shoot-outs! And I think Stephen Collins and Catherine Hicks should be married in real life - - they are just perfect together.

Anyway, 7th Heaven is the reason I dont start flying until after 10!! OOps! Look at the time

Better get a move on ......

Morning all, wishing you all a good day. It is lovely and sunny here, so lovely to wear a summer dress:p .

    Why do children insist on conversations like this;
During breakfast, DD ;' Uhhh, I forgot, I need some seeds and an empty plantpot because we are planting at school during botany'
Me (suspiciously); When do you need this?'
    DD; 'Mmmm, today...'
Arggghhh, luckily like a true miracle worker, I managed to find sunflower seeds and a pot:j . Feel like a true supermum.

Well, will feel even more like a supermum when I get dressed and take the dog for a walk... OK, I'm going now. See you later

    Good morning all!!

Wrote a lovely long message yesterday but the day was manic and then my new computer screen arrived and I had to log off and lost it all.

Filming Sunday was long and hot but good fun, think I should actually get into some shots this time as my friend and I were told we did "good background action", actually we were milling around chatting and looking in all the wonderful shop windows. For those who were asking I do very ocassional work for a casting agency as a film / tv extra or stand in. It's fun, you definitely meet some characters and the money isn't bad, it all goes in the high days and holidays pot.

Pen Pen our daughters share a birthday!! Little Miss MimiF is 5 today, she came in this morning for a cuddle, singing "I'm 5", she then looked in the mirror and said "Daddy do I look taller today?" Bless her she obviously thinks being 5 should add an extra 5 inches to her!!

She had birthday breakfast with lots of pressies and balloons which keep bursting for no reason and has gone to school, badges on and goodies for her classmates in her hand. It's weird as both my kids usually have their birthdays in the holidays so having one at school is a novelty for them.

OS wise - have swept and mopped downstairs and hoovered upstairs, rest of house is spick and span and if DH messes it up today there will be hell to pay!!!!;)

DD has a friend coming for tea and then her birthday party proper is in a couple of weeks at McDonalds (it's what she wanted).:o

Haven't managed to read much but can see Penny Pincher is having a rough time so hugs to her or anyone else who needs them.

Have a lovely day all!! (Ooh suns made it out again :j )

Still have got a LONG LONG way to go but will keep picking your brains and being impresseed. Thank you to all of you that have PM me it meant a lot. So am going to do better-HONEST. THANK YOU FOR INSPIRING ME. Will be writing things down and PLANNING. Am off to decide what to cook for my lovely DH. Cats mostly ok. Hope you all have a fantastic day, much love and grateful thanks. Hello!

Not been posting for a while as have been busy with family and in the garden. Update on dd, she needs an epipen to carry with her at all times:eek: but better safe than sorry. The consultant has written her a letter for the airline.

Just popped on to wish Scuzz a Happy Holiday! Enjoy yourself you deserve it!

Happy hols to JackieO and Loubee as well! I know my holiday is coming up fast now as I will be on my way within a week of Scuzz coming back! :j

Been feeling sorry for myself with my sore mouth and the expense of some bridgework coming up and thought how lucky I was that such things are available to me! I will just have to pennypinch like mad when I get back from Florida. I might not get to go again so will have to have a think about what to bring back for my os ways, ziplock bags definately and crafting stuff is cheap.

PP - So sorry you are having such a rotten time (((Hugs)))

(((Hugs))) to Mrs Mix and anyone else feeling poorly.

Well have to go put some bread on for oh, I haven't been able to eat any bread, cake or cookies myself for more than a week now but why hasn't it affected my weight!

    ((((Hugs))) Anniestar

    Hello folks!

Hugs to Mrs Mix, mushy peas and penny pincher - may today be better!

To those who are going on holiday: I'm soooo envious! But I hope you have a great time :p

Well, I started jury service at the Old Bailey yesterday. Nothing happened  There were 200 jurors (so we were told) all being briefed etc, and then waiting to be assigned to the various courts, but only a handful were. However, I was shortlisted for a jurors panel to go back tomorrow when they will select the 12 to go into court number * (not supposed to tell number :shhh:).

So today I'm off. Trouble is that I'm self-employed and I cannot accept work for the foreseeable future, as I don't know what will happen from one day to the next and I'm losing money even taking into account the statutory court fees. Any trial I may be assigned to could go on for weeks or months. However, it is possible for me to claim for loss of earnings, so I shall speak to the Jurors Bailiff when I have to fill in my first claim at the end of this week.

Meanwhle, a bit of strict Old Style housekeeping will cut down on expenditure, such as cutting down on food shopping ensuring I don't waste anything I buy - I often do but never admit it :o

Have a good day everyone :)
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.
