:j 10 days till court. Well received a letter from scams today they are going to pay up on one of my claims withinn five days 6.5K. Life is good. So good.:j
Everyone has been so supportive.:money: is a saint. Now about that washing machine:happyhear
  • Do Lloyds pay up once you have a court date then ? I've gone through the long drawn process of the 3 template letters, filing at court the acknowledgement, the defence so I am now either waiting for a date or waiting for the judge to decide whether the claims will be issued with a 'stay' whatever that means ?!

So what is the best option then? Court or online??
This is why it's an easier option to use Moneyclaim on the internet, as there your request is likely to be actioned much, much faster than by your local county court and as one eminent legal source said to me, with his tongue firmly in his cheek (never easy to talk that way) "there is no risk on the internet of a overworked county court clerk wrapping up his uneaten cheese sandwiches in your judgement request form and throwing it away."

Then there is an argument which someone pointed out, is that the court clerk may help you out, and make sure your paperwork is in order, can't do that on MCOL I guess!

Maybe a poll? Court or MCOL ?

I went for local county court with my claims, Lloyds have defended both so at least I haven't got to wait for the claims to be transferred from Northampton to my local county court for a hearing date to be set as they're already in there. Good thing about MCOL though I think is that you can check the status of the claims whenever you want by logging in, to check when filing at local court you have to keep ringing them up !!

So there seems to be the odd advantage either way, but nothing major.

As soon as you get your court date (mine was quite quick but I think I was lucky) try to sort out your court bundle. I had to file mine by 4.00pm on the 11th of june. I sent my bundle to scams on this date. They should have received it on the 12th. There letter back to me is dated 13th. I received it on the 15th. The money was in my account that evening. So my advice would be the sooner you send them your bundle, they know you mean business. The sooner you are likely to get your money.

I haven't to date received anything from them re the other account but hope its just a matter of time. I would though wait untill you receive your court date so that you know when you have to file by. Hope this helps

I agree. You can follow with mcol, but only so far. The guys at court are more than happy to support you, and they are really nice.

Happy days for me, received my letter today saying that they are reimbursing me the £4009.00 plus the £1,213.40 interest.

Total time less than 8 weeks from request of statementsto end.

although obviously elated that i won the money, makes me angry that they didnt pay out straight away and so ended up stressing me out for MY MONEY and also paying out an extra £1,213.40 unnecessarily, so who will be paying for that, the poor old pensioner thats to afraid to reclaim their money or joe bloggs thats about to lose his family home because of the debt thats spiralled through bank charges who is unaware of the bank charges reclaim, i know for sure it wont be the fat cat boss of halifax that will have a wages cut so pay out everyones interest!

Good luck to everyone and enjoy YOUR
