Branston are the best by far.

Heinz beans tins are half full of watery sauce before you even get to the beans and there are a lot of skins that have detached from the beans in the cooking.

Branston are always excellent quality and a far superior taste, and about half the price of Heinz.
  • Asda reduced salt and sugar beans are my fave. I always find Heinz to be too salty. Same with their ketchup. Their BBQ sauce is fine though.
    I'm not a fan of over-salty food.

  • Heinz products (soup and beans) always seem incredibly sweet to me.

Tend to have supermarket own brands now.

I've noticed that Heinz Tomato soup is pretty watery these days as is Oxtail..Chicken seems ok though.

I've noticed their baked beans have a lot more watery sauce, it used to be thick.

I'll give Branston beans a go having seen the glowing reports here.
  • Add some curry powder to any baked beans for a tasty change.

Don't buy curried baked beans - I have only seen Heinz brand and they were a quid for the 400-odd grams size - extortionate!

Don't you need to add sultanas too - to get the fully curried beans experience?
