What has happened to Heinz Baked Beans?

I have to say beans are absolutely disgusting IMO.
I used to eat them as a kid and I don't know what has changed since then but even the thought of eating them now makes me sick lol
The worst thing is a breakfast fry up with beans, I mean what is that all about? Can't think of anything worse.0 -
We only buy Branstons Beans now, They are much nicer. The branston beans are always on offer £1 for 4 cans in Lidl and in Tescos £1.27 i have never paid full price for them. I always have about 12 cans in at once and when on offer go mad and stock up! Best beans out there.Jan Wins: .0

Not had any heinz benas for a while but we have branston beans and they're ok. You can usually find them on offer, tesco had them at £1.50 for a 4pk a while ago, im sure lidl had the 4pks for £1/£1.50 so we tend to stock up when we find them cheap.0

I'm another vote for Branston. They're my first choice or supermarkets own, I can't stand Heinz they've always had a funny taste to me.0

Yes I'm the same.. I like beans heated up now and again, but I can never ever eat them with a fry up, or even as "beans on toast". I've never had it and the thought of eating it, or having beans touch anything else on my plate makes me sick0 -
I sent an email to Heinz through its website about the rank tin of beans. They responded by asking for the code printed on the tin (lucky I still had the empty tin) and today I received a letter of apology and a £3 voucher to spend on any Heinz products. Shan't be buying beans with it tho. 10/10 to Heinz for the response.0

I didnt try Branston beans for ages because i thought they were flavoured somehow with branston pickle!! i know!! How thick am i! I think a lot of Heinz stuff has lost its flavour, ravioli, spaghetti hoops are absolutely tasteless now, and tinned spaghetti is more watery than it used to be.0

I agree. What's happened to the thick bright orange sauces? Probably used to be full of E numbers and yummy things like that, when they were allowed.0 -
Only buy Branston beans here too!0

I fancied Beans on Toast last night but was very disappointed with the beans. What's happened to Heinz Baked Beans? The beans themselves seemed smaller and paler than normal, not the fat glossy haricot beans you expect from Heinz. The sauce seemed thinner than Heinz used to be and the taste, well, there really wasn't a taste at all.
I checked the tin - I hadn't picked up low salt, low fat beans by mistake.
I haven't had them for a while, and shan't be having them again.
Has anyone else experienced a change? What other bean brands do you recommend?
I totally agree These Beans are awful - just tasteless and mushy perhaps Heinz should just call the Mushy Beans?0
