Will it work with my UK Amex that is already registered with Foursquare?
No. US Amex Specials will not work with UK cards. They only work in the countries where the Amex card was issued.

Mr Russell do you have any tips or know any sites where getting maximum value from Amex reward points is discussed. I can't afford to travel so cash/cashlite is what I'm interested in. Nectar/M&S/Tesco vouchers are worth about 97% (as using vouchers means no cashback credit card) - anything better?
    I think....
  • Amazon vouchers are the best, especially when you compare the cost of an item on there that you could 'purchase' with MR Points.

    Nectar: 71,816 (£357) | Avios: 62,036 | Membership Rewards: 45,076 (£225)
    Foursquare & Xbox Cashback: £1,865 | Quidco Paid: £986

I know it says this but I managed to sucessfully redeem a JC Penney offer via Amex Foursquare last July on my Amex Platinum.

Ah but I see from your sig that you have valued your points at twice their 'nominal' value - is that because you exchange them for travel?

No I haven't? 20,000 points buys £100 of Amazon vouchers.

I guess you were just lucky!
Thats not their official stance, so I would say that you have to presume it won't work... anything different accept as a nice bonus :)

It all depends on what card you have and what rewards you're receiving. Obviously for those collecting Avios then travel is usually the best deal. One website to watch is http://www.headforpoints.com/

For everything else, try taking a look at the official website (https://catalogue.membershiprewards.co.uk/index.mtw). I guess it all depends on what you actually want from them. I've had store vouchers, a kindle and even used my Cashback to fund an ISA :D

Oh I agree, but I was shopping there anyway so I thought I might as well have loaded it to the card but if you have data on your smartphone while over there (I have an AT&T sim I get from work) its worth a try.
