    Dear Cardmember,

Our Technology team confirmed for us that the credit was processed and sent downstream from our system on to Lloyd’s. Since we do not have access to their system, we cannot confirm when they post credits to any Card accounts. If you are viewing a paper statement, we encourage you to view your statement online for call Lloyd’s directly. We can assure you that the credit will post within the 2 billing cycles or 60 days from the date of your transaction as mentioned in all our offer terms.

    Thank you.

Get the feeling I am being fobbed off? It's well over a month since I made my Foursquare purchases from Shell and Debs. How come the MBNA ones posted within three days (different card/Foursquare account)? Perversely I don't get confirmation notifications for MBNA but do with the Lloyds ones!
If I had a pound for every pound I'd lost, I'd be confused

On a positive note, I tentatively tried out this promotion for the first time just before Easter: I bought £50 of Debenhams vouchers and received the £25 credit less than a week later.

Can I do this only once, or if the offer comes up again, could I use the same Amex card in my local Debs for the same £25 credit?

The offers have a start and end date. It would have to be a new start date to redeem again with the same card.

You can however redeem one offer multiple times using different cards on the same statement account. They just need to have different card numbers and use separate foursquare accounts

Are there any foursquare offers at the moment?

Just the Shell one (can't remember the details but maybe £15 off a £50 spend?

Only other one is Harrods, £25 off a £100 spend.

Incidentally, thought I would mention on here, MBNA are currently offering an American Airways Credit Card (it's a Duo like Lloyds with 1 x Mastercard and 1 x Amex on the same account). Has a bonus of 35,000 AA miles after £5k spend within 6 months - should be enough to get a return flight to the states if that floats your boat (points can also be used on BA as they are part of the same alliance although, unlike AA, you'll pay fuel surcharges with BA).

Anyway, that's just an aside, the real attraction for me is that the card is free, no annual fee - i.e. another Amex card to use on future foursquare offers! :-)

PS - If you're going to apply, google American Airways MBNA and go through the AA site. Going direct through the MBNA site gets you only 5,000 bonus miles.
  • *Airlines... American Airlines, not Airways!
  • Just had another look and it seems that the 35,000 bonus miles offer is a little hidden. This is the link to the promotion, ends 31 May:

    Check-in Special

check-in-f870bc36c0cc2a842fac06c35a6dccdf.pngThanks for checking in to Currys PC World! Get £10 off when you spend £100 or more - just show the barcode when you pay for your items.

This seems to be a different format to the other offers in the past.

Yup, it's nothing to do with American Express :).
