Going to the States next week is there a way of finding the Foursquare/Amex offers beforehand?
Will it work with my UK Amex that is already registered with Foursquare?
Which shops did you use for these offers? and does it work same like here or do you have to show something to the shop?
Any info appreciated especially since this will be a shopping trip :-)0 -

Just look on Foursquare.com. You can view any country in the world. And yes, they work exactly the same as here; I used one for a free coffee in Abu Dhabi.
Didn't use an Amex Special though. I would imagine they may not work.| Amex & Foursquare Hoarder |Cashback & Points (26/02/13)
Nectar: 71,816 (£357) | Avios: 62,036 | Membership Rewards: 45,076 (£225)
Foursquare & Xbox Cashback: £1,865 | Quidco Paid: £9860 -
Remember they credited me the £25 twice? I've received a debit of £25. They released their mistake, Shame0

How long does it tend to take for the refund to appear? I signed up and followed all the instructions a week past friday (10 days ago). I made the £50 purchase at Debenhams. The check in appears on my foursquare account but no refund to my credit card as of yet.
I have to say I'm in exactly the same situation as you. I make a £50+ purchase in debenhams 3 fridays back (17 days ago) on my Lloyds duo card and the cashback is yet to appear. I'm pretty sure I've done everything correct because I've used these offers before (shell, tesco etc) and always got the cashback using the same card and foursquare combo.
I've never got the notifications on foursquare and that's never stopped the cashback paying out before, also others on here say its very temperamental for non-amex issued cards anyway.
Seems quite a coincidence, same shop, same card, same day.
I know they say it can take 2 billing cycles for the credit to appear but in the other offers the credit has normally come 2-3 working days after the purchase appears on my statement, so I'm not confident that it's going to appear automatically now.
Did you try contacting amex?0 -
I spent £50.00 in Debenhams using an AMEX Platinum card on 23.03.13 and the £25.00 credit appeared on 04.04.13 so took longer than usual.
Hope anyone waiting for a credit receives it soon.0 -

Amex must be swamped at the moment with cashback requests - and they don't seem to be capable of dealing with them any more.
MBNA have proved useless in dealing with a request - a series of phone calls from them which achieved nothing apart from wasting their time and mine.
Amex 'customer service' (https://sync.americanexpress.co.uk/Foursquare/CustomerService) has proved no better. Promises of a reply within 2 business days, but still waiting since 23 March!
If Foursquare and Amex can't achieve better results than this they shouldn't be offering false promises.0 -

It does seem to be a problem with non-amex issued cards. I haven't had any issues with any credits apart from one of my Platinum Charge card and they sorted it out quickly through the email system.0 -
This isn't an Amex specific offer, but as it's nationwide, thought it would be worth adding here.Check-in to Currys or PCWorld and you will be shown a barcode. This can be shown at the till when you spend over £100 in store, and you will get an instant £10 discount.
