  • I've redeemed the shell offer before however when I check in at a shell now it doesn't give me the option to use the offer as before.

Is the offer only valid once??

Yes, once per account. If you have more than 1 card with different card numbers just create further accounts with foursquare.

It's once per account per card (card not statement, provided each card has a different number) per promotional period. They do sometimes repeat offers so you should check the start and end dates to see if you have redeemed the specific current offer
  • New Amex Foursquare offer has opened up (or at least I've not seen it before). It's for Harrods again but unfortunately isn't as good as the last one. Spend £100, get £25 back. Not the best but if you were planning on spending the money anyway then its still a good deal.

I just used my Amex Foursquare offers in the USA - it is amazing how many different offers they have there and the huge range of stores listed. Hopefully we will see more like this in the UK soon. Even discounts just for checking in at a shop!

How long does it tend to take for the refund to appear? I signed up and followed all the instructions a week past friday (10 days ago). I made the £50 purchase at Debenhams. The check in appears on my foursquare account but no refund to my credit card as of yet.

Who is your card issued by? Cards issued directly from Amex seem to reflect the refund quicker (3-5 days) while I've heard that MBNA or Lloyds cards can take a little longer.

As long as you got the notification on the 4S app then I think you'll be fine. Should have said something like "Congratulations, you just saved £X by shopping with American Express" or something like that.

Its a Lloyds amex card. Never got that message saying congratulations. Do have messages saying that the card is linked and that I checked in at Debenhams though!

Is there a facility to lodge a cashback claim with 4s?

I've yet to receive the cashback from the 9th March for my Lloyds avios card for debenhams, fenwicks and shell. The same has happened to my partner. On prior deals the cashback arrived within a few days.

Llloyds customer service are crap when it comes to understanding the existence of these offers. I've sent an email to registeredcardsupport@aexp.com from the email address I use for my card. They seem much more proactive.

The Quidco app offers this in the UK. You get between 5p and 15p cashback just for checking into a shop.
