they are now one in the same so I was wondering why some people seem to be getting their charges back from Halifax but I have been told by the Bank of scotland that all claims are on hold.
Anyone have any experience of this?£10 per day Challenge (Oct)

This has been asked before but no replies were given.
I am unemployed just now and saw that there might be possiblity of claiming your bank charges back asap if you are in fainancial hardship. So i phoned the HBOS online banking and they said they dont have this policy that you have to wait till the test case is over. I am not suprised they said this, usual line, but can i take this any further, i have council tax to pay.....?
I would be looking at over £1000 in charges........0 -

Who did you put the claim to, the bank or the FSA/Ombudsman etc...
And are you with the HBOS?0 -

sent my hardship letter to the bank in march(i'm with the halifax, got bank charges totalling just short of £6000) got a standard reply back in may!! saying they not dealing with any claims due to waiver blah blahblah, but if i filled out the enclosed financial statement and sent proof of my financial difficulties they would then review my case, have done that on 18th june and am still waiting for the outcome of their review, if its another knock back my next move is to go to the fos. prob be doing this next monday if i not heard back from halifax.0 -
I would be really interested to find out more about this. I have sent off my complaint re bank account charges with HBOS and asked that they consider my case due to financial hardship.

I have put a claim in already. My partner is on maternity leave and we are having to use credit cards to ensure there is enough cash in the bank to pay all the bills. we were going to get a joint account but the advisor reccomended that we don't merge accounts because our credit rating would drop. We have seperate accounts but all the main banking is done through her account whereas mine is only used to pay off my loan. Would the banks consider this even though the account we are having hardship with is not the one I am claiming for?0
