  • Hi
I made an agreement with the Halifax the day that the announcent was made about the court case. I have just spoken to the Halifax who have assured me that my payment will still be made, as it was agreed prior to the news break. As long as everything was documented by them you will recieve your payment I have been told. They lost details on my other account, so I now have to wait until the court case for this to be resolved, just a few days too late for this.Hope this helps somebody

OH rang after requesting the list of charges and said the 40 days had passed and they asked him if he wanted the list of charges to go to court or for information.

He said he hadn't decided but wanted the information for now as he was entitled to it. They said they would chase it up for him.
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

I'd be phoning them back and telling them that the statements you requested under the Data Protection Act will not be taking 18 months. They legally have to reply within 40 days, if they dont you can report it to the Information Comissioner for a breach

    Goodluck with it!

To be fair to the person answering the phone they are probably answering from a script at the moment but she is wrong. Provided you use Martin's template and ask for your information/statements under the DPA (SAR request) the bank are obliged to give them to you.

For sure! If you have your claim reference number use one of the numbers in the other thread and give it a go.

    Hi

Just spoke to someone at Halifax Customer Relations, i explained that i had an offer of a third of what i was asking and would it be possible to have my case looked at again. She took my number and said she needed to speak to her superviser. After a couple of minutes she rang back to say they would not be looking into anyones case who have had an offer - basically Take it or Leave it. I asked if i could accept the offer 'without prejudist', and she said any offer will only be made as 'full and final settlement' and that i have 2 weeks to decide as the money will be put into my account on 7th August.
