Prior to July 16th the reassessment staff had authorisation to offer up to 100% of the claim minus any interest you might try claiming. Since then they are now at a limit of 75%.

This means that if you are looking for more than the 75% max you 'may' get offered at reassessment you will need to complete a MCOL or contact the FO.

Personally Im going down the MCOL route - have been extremely successfull with Capital One - 100% plus interest plus court cost!

Hi everyone. I've waited over 40days for statements now. Have had the standard 'we are inundated' letter, but no contact number on there. Does anyone know who to ring to chase the statements please?

We got the letter today offering the full amount including the court fee, of course HBOS deny any wrong doing etc etc.

When i turned down the 75% which was more than 2k i thought i had gone beyond what was reasonable and spent several sleepless nights worrying, but in the end it was worth it.

I still have 3 more claims to put in, but im on a high right now.

Halifax closed my account and passed it over to a debt collection agency. I have now got to the point where Halifax have made me an offer and are going to pay it into my account, but as far as I'm concerned the account is closed. I still get Halifax statements from the debt collection agency, but I was hopeing for a cheque rather than a credit to the account as I wanted to use the settlement from Halifax as a full and final amount to the debt collection ageancy. Does anyone know if they will send me out a cheque instead? I've been trying to ring them but I can't get through.

Im getting peeved with BOS now. I requested statements on 8th June, I recd. a letter from them stating they will reply within their alloted time period (the 40 days) it's over 40 days now and i've recd. nothing I've just filled out my complaint form to the Information Commisioner. Any other helpful suggestions ????

Hi All!!

My first post here, so bare wih me if you will.... I started my claim over the telephone on 0845 number, main banking number.. Spoke to a lovely girl who filed the complaint for me and sent it electronically to another department... 3 days later got the usual decline letter, so phoned back and thy said they would reevaluate which could take 8 weeks... 5 days later i had an offer from Halifax of £1300.. Now at this stage i still dont know how much they owe me in charges, phoned back the 0151 (liverpool) number on my letter and spoke to Mark who said the most they can offer me is £1600... I am not being greedy but feel cheated that this amount should be a lot greater... I know i dont know how much i have paid in charges but hae done rough calculations to £3000 +.. Any help would be greately appreciated, Thankyou !

Im very new to this site so sorry for any mistakes,I'm trying to claim my bank charges with the halifax, I've sent for my statments and the 40 days was up last week. I followed with a call and was told they would duplicte my request with a email to the admin staff as i couldn't :rolleyes: as there was nothing on there system at all. Don't really no where to go next any help would be gratful.
