Op you don't help yourself. Not with your buyer, not on here.

Pullip is a well respected poster on MSE and in particular in this board. You would do well to ignore only half she suggests.

A fool is one who will not refund, I still don't understand why you don't and clearly you have never been on the receiving end of a seller similar to you.

Your buyer can only have a negative, or two or three or a dozen - as a seller. No buyer can get a negative and hasn't been able to for some years now, so this is nonsensical to your ill thought out logic.

You refunding has no bearing on Royal Mail and your claim. Unless of course you have alienated your buyer so much, they fail to cooperate and in which case you wont see a penny of your refuted refund or your potential claim. Lose lose.

All that and still publicly out yourself.

    Odd, very odd.

Respect is earnt. I don't care if he has 40,000 posts....to me he has been a horrible peice of work and has torn my comments to peices with barely any worthwhile discussion on helping me to find a resolution...mockery of a man.

Also, I disagree. If I refund now and the coat arrives tomorrow I'm scuppered as I can't then make a claim. If I leave it and the coat arrives then I'm all-good. I'll leave this now, I know it's going nowhere...anyway.

For anyone interested here is the OP
    Hi guys,

Last Saturday I posted a coat that I sold on ebay 2nd class recorded delivery through the Royal Mail. The coat sold for £39.99.

I kept my proof of postage and it was definitely send to the right address. However whenever I type my reference number in to the RM website it just says that they are processing the order through the system.

I am in daily contact with the buyer and it has again still not turned up today and it is looking like it wont. The posty leaves no notes etc and his sorting office also has nothing.

What should I do here? I did state "no refunds" in my description but that was due to people in the past just buying things idly and then sending them back. I don't feel I should have to send him a refund though as ultimately I posted my coat in good faith, still have all my proof of postage etc.

What should I do to get this resolved? Can he claim compensation? Is there a standard way to deal with this?
