Went shopping, first went to home bargains to see what they had that was cheaper than asda and got very excited as they had stardrops so I bought some. Also got sunpat peanut butter, love peanut butter but don't really like getting the cheap stuff as they fill it with loads of sugar and oil but they had sunpat for 49p! it's still not as good as the wholenut stuff but very tasty and a bargain I thought! Also got a 2 pack of pasta sauce, same ones are £1 at asda at the moment.

Then I went to Asda only to find that they sold stardrops and they're 11p cheaper than at home bargain!! 58p instead of 69p...wasn't happy but grumbled away and carried on with my shopping!

Have some bread rising, haven't baked bread myself since my grandma taught me how to...think I was about 12!!! fingers crossed it's ok, just used the instructions on the yeast...really want a bread maker, wasn't impressed with the mess I made!

    Hi everyone

Good Luck Moggins, looking forward to hearing how it went
<HUGS> to Caroline, do you know how they got your details????
Haribo, thanks for the emoticons, very cute.

Been to the gym this morning, my leg is complaining quite a lot so I need to see the Doctor to check it's OK. I had a DVT and embollism a few years ago, and the main vein is full of scar tissue so doesn't carry blood anymore. I want to check that the pain I am getting is a GOOD pain rather than a WARNING pain.

DH is working in Oxford this week, which means he's out of the house at 6.15 and not back until 8pm. An excellent opportunity to use some of the spare meals in the freezer for him, and soup for me. I miss having him around.

House is sparkling. Well, -ish. It's tidy and clean anyway. BUt I must do the bathroom. We soaked the bbq grill pans in the bath a couple of nights ago and although I cleaned the bath out thoroughly, I think it needs another go.

Think I'll have a coffee and put my gym stuff in the wash first.

    Have a great day everyone

    Afternoon all

Had a quick peak at the thread this morning but then decided to get on with work!

Being v.v.v.v. good today and have not purchased a coffee from downstairs (though I'm really tempted!).

On a bit of a store-cupboard challenge: last night I used up some TMF gravy, 1 year out of date frozen sausages (they were fine!! :D ) and some pasta. Bit of ketchup and it was lovely, odd combination...but the food needs to be used up! Lunch today tuna pasta (darn...I can hear the muffins calling me).

Yesterday I spent far too long on MSE printing out lovely recipes to get cooking again. I've found I almost have the ingredients for flap-jacks so going to attempt them tonight. Bit scared as I haven't even cooked desert cake type things, but these just seem to be a melt and mix type of cooking. Good place to start :D .

Right, had better go back to work. Hello to all newbies and hugs to those who need them, PP and moggins.

Oh and I'm always up for trying to lose weight! I had planned to go for a run this morning at 6am but um my bed wouldn't let me get up (honest). How others get up at 3am I'll never know!
