In the end the children are your responsibility, you forgot to sign on a 'few' times and you knew you had children to feed.
You should be able to get help from food banks if there is one in your area.0 -
Actually while i think of it....If a child was starving they wouldnt have a swollen belly. A swollen belly is down to malnourishment, again the parent s fault for not making sure their children get a balanced diet.0

I basically "forgot to sign on". Now they want to stop my JSA for one month. Is this not ridiculous? Or is it just me who thinks this totally unreasonable?
I'd appreciate any advice as to what I should say in the appeal. I wouldn't have imagined that forgetting to sign would be grounds for suspension of benefit. Does anyone know if this is in fact the case?

If you 'forget'to go to work you get the sack and have no money. Why should you not be sanctioned for forgetting to sign on?(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -

All I am saying is that it looks more like there will be poverty in the UK again for the first time for several decades.0 -

I think there has always been poverty its just hidden, it would of done none of the recent goverments any good to advertise the facts.
Theres no doubt food banks are busier now than they were maybe a couple of years ago and will be even busier in the next couple of years.0 -

Imagine that. Your benefits are SO important to you, that you forget to claim for them. I doubt you would forget to cash them, but then again if you can forget to put in for them in the first place........;):A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
